Brain Explorers: Journey into the 8 Senses and Playful Solutions for Super Sensitivity!

Do you know someone who shies away from hugs or fears the swings? Or wears long sleeves in the heat of summer? Perhaps someone who covers their ears at the sound of a vacuum cleaner? Dive into the 8 senses that make us human (you likely know 5 already!) Get ready to have fun with tools and games designed to help kids facing sensory challenges. From weighted blankets and sensory swings to kinetic sand and scooter boards, you'll get to try them all. And guess what? You'll even create your very own calming sensory jar to practice these techniques at home. Everyone's invited, so let's embark on a sensory adventure together! (All ages welcome; assistance will be needed for kids under 3 due to small parts.)

I have a neurodivergent child with a sensory integration dysfunction (also called Sensory Processing Disorder, or SPD). I will bring tools we use at home to share with the audience and to teach the audience regulation skills I learned after over a year in therapy for my child. Also, sensory jars are just pure fun to make for all ages!

Navigating Career Comeback: Strategies for Accelerating Progress from Entry-Level to Mid-Level Roles

Imagine the scene: after a career hiatus, you find yourself as an entry-level associate, introducing yourself as the technical project lead, interweaving your two-year experience of cultivating Ginger. For those who have re-entered the professional arena following a career break, this session serves as a guiding compass. It will delve into strategies crucial for swift advancement within your teams. Target audience: professionals re-entering the workforce after a career break (parental leave, mass layoffs, sabbatical, taking care of their own consulting business, etc.). Wide variety of people are welcome as the talk is not strictly about IT professionals. Session duration = 30-60 minutes.

Navigating Legal Risks: Data Monetization with Confidence

Consider this scenario: for years, you've been sharing user data from your website and app with social networks. Suddenly, a legal summons presents a stark choice – face litigation or dismantle all analytics tags. There is one caveat – you're in the business of sharing data about your users for profit.

For those engaged in user data collection, analytics, website and app product development, and the comprehension of user behavior, this session will introduce strategies to approach analytics data collection in a manner that prevents costly legal battles. You will gain an understanding of what durability entails and how to configure your marketing tech stack. Drawing inspiration from media enterprises proficient in profitable data monetization, you will exit this session with actionable insights to safeguard your business.

Target audience: any professional who is responsible for data collection, processing and storage, any web or app developer or a company that collects, stores and shares data about their users with third parties. Talk length: 45-60 minutes (I can tweak the content length depending on a time slot assigned). No technical requirements. First public delivery is at the all-company learning sessions.
