May quality and security be with you: platform is at the heart of today’s AI challenges in the SDLC
AI is changing the way we build software, but it is also pushing defects further and further to the right in the delivery cycle.
How do we ensure quality, security, and governance when both developers and AI agents are generating code at high speed?
In this session, I will demonstrate how to use Kubernetes to turn automated testing into a platform capability, enabling the execution and standardization of functional, quality, and security tests at scale.
Continuous Testing in the Cloud-Native world
In the rapidly evolving landscape of cloud-native applications, Kubernetes has become the de facto standard for container orchestration. This paradigm shift brings both immense scalability and complexity, particularly in ensuring robust and reliable testing. We will delve into how Testkube addresses these challenges by providing a Kubernetes-native testing execution framework.
Augmented Development (aDevelopment): Measuring the Real Impact of AI in Software Engineering
What happens when a single developer, supported by AI, delivers the same output as entire teams?
In this session, I present the EventFlow case study, where one developer practicing Augmented Development (aDevelopment) produced 696 commits and 23K net lines of code in less than two months, achieving results comparable to multi-developer projects with up to 83% cost reduction and 500% ROI.
But this is not only about speed. The effectiveness of aDevelopment is directly proportional to the maturity and experience of the developer. For senior professionals, AI becomes a true force multiplier. For inexperienced teams, the impact may be reduced—or even negative, leading to technical debt or poor design choices.
Join me to explore the data, the business case, and the human factor behind aDevelopment, and why this paradigm may redefine the way we build software in the AI era.
The Missing Piece in Platform Engineering: Centralized Test Automation
Platform Engineering has revolutionized how we manage infrastructure, deployments, and observability—but test automation remains fragmented across teams, tools, and pipelines. What if you could treat testing like any other cloud-native workload, with standardized workflows, centralized control, and tech-agnostic execution?
In this talk, we’ll explore why test automation is the next frontier for platform teams and how Testkube serves as the missing control plane for cloud-native testing. We’ll demonstrate how Testkube integrates with Kubernetes to make testing a seamless part of your platform—just like logging, monitoring, and deployments.
"Choose your battles wisely..." approach applied to Platform Engineering
A platform team must make strategic decisions to use its capacity and budget wisely. Join me as I review some of the challenges I faced as a platform manager that had a big impact on the product and the team.
Backstage meets Testkube: democratizing testing for all teams
In this talk we will explore how to integrate Testkube with Backstage to deliver a self-service testing experience directly from the Developer Portal. We will show how this combination allows development teams to execute, visualize tests without leaving their daily workflow, reducing friction and accelerating software delivery.
We will discuss common challenges when scaling testing practices in Kubernetes environments, and how Testkube as K8s native testing platform complements Backstage to expose those capabilities in an accessible and centralized way.
Through a live demo, we'll see how developers can launch tests, monitor results and maintain quality without relying on the platform team, all from an interface they already know and use.
Ideal for those who are building internal platforms, want to scale quality practices or are simply looking to improve the development experience in cloud-native environments.
One platform to rule them all
A reference architecture that simplifies and unifies Kubernetes clusters management from a single screen, this decreases the cognitive load on product teams so they can focus on value development.
