Christine Hudson is co-author of the forthcoming leader’s handbook "Practice Makes Culture", and co-founder of The Welcome Elephant, a small firm specializing in value flow and having difficult conversations earlier and easier. She is on a mission to help create a world full of happier humans in high-performing organizations.

Christine has a background in enterprise technology and tech entrepreneurship, in product management of technology products and organizational change, and as a facilitative leadership coach and business agility consultant. In the past decade she has specialized in helping extended leadership teams use forward-looking mid-range planning to pressure test their strategy deployment for risks and opportunities, helping these amazing leaders apply lean and agile concepts across the whole business… so they deliver better results, together.

Christine has a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from Colorado State University. She speaks a handful of languages and is getting back into software development via chat-oriented programming. She loves adventuring all over the world–sailing, hiking, skiing, cycling, climbing, and more–with her partner, dog, and friends.

Practice Makes Culture: Better Business Results and Happier Humans

Many companies struggle to deliver: organizations and teams struggle with customer satisfaction, product quality, delivering on time or on budget, and with employee engagement and retention. The root problem is not the people but the business system: the operating model and the organizational culture that reinforces it.

This talk provides a descriptive “how to” so you, as a senior leader, can rapidly update your operating model with a couple of key practices and change the culture that supports better business results and happier humans. The three speakers draw from a relatively wide set of experiences on 1) the most important thing to practice: strategy deployment testing, 2) everyday, easy ways to keep practicing and upskilling (use your meetings!) and 3) example culture change roadmaps to help your updates and upskilling become organizational habit.
