Everyone uses AI, but not everyone has agents that hack their way to ensure a spot in a Yoga class. And not everyone knows their AI-agents are communicating and collaborating behind the scenes.

AI use is clearly split into three main usage areas: general use, domain use, and expert knowledge. Organizations needs widespread general use to increase productivity, master their unique domains to stay competitive and innovative, and just maybe have expert AI knowledge in some fields to drive the world forward.

How do you take the steps from using AI as a search engine to truly automating processes? What does this mean for individuals, teams, and organizations? For security and compliance?

Microsoft started its Responsible AI journey in 2016, and has developed a solid framework for corporate guidance, a set of principles for all AI work at Microsoft, and concrete guides and standards for putting our Responsible AI principles into practical use.

Since the "ChatGPT" moment Microsoft has revised its standard twice, and we assume this is not the last major revision as AI adoption and development continues to accellerate.

In this talk, Christopher Frenning introduces Microsoft's approach to Reponsible AI, shares the Microsoft journey and learnings, and will help organizations that are embarcing on their Responsible AI journeys. [30-45 min]

This lecture gives an overview of the current state of AI, why it is a major challenge to approach the area responsibly, and finally how organizations can do so through the use of frameworks and standards from NIST and ISO, and how legislation may affect AI projects moving forward. Summer 2025 a 1-person tech company was acquired for 80MUSD after only 6 months in operation. Big organizations are changing their processes, optimizing, and doing more than ever with AI. AI is no longer just helping with answers, but taking on tasks - sometimes of significant size.
