Metaskills development with Augmented Reality in K12

Technological advancement is empowering the global education system to re-think emerging edtech (AR, VR and AI).
We all think that innovative technologies like Augmented Reality will change the way we learn in the future BUT the future is already here. Why technologies are entering our lives as consumers so rapidly or why are they transforming the business sector where the education sector in the digital transformation era still remains in the analog age?
TED-talk type of presentation about technology in education and its influence on the kids as the workforce of the future (future innovators, politicians, and others to take over the world). The answers to the questions we all have will be revealed:

How technology can enforce personalized learning, help kids to gain metaskills and empower the growth mindset?
Why do we need to introduce the technology at primary/elementary school?
Is it too early or too late to use tech at school level?
How AR supports meta skills development?
How AR can enhance metaskills development?

Personal stories and interesting statistics will help attendees to get inspired in shaping the future of kids.

AR Digital Innovation to Save Education

Covid-19 has pushed schoos for remote learning and has created challenges that education was not ready for. How can the education survive? Is there any technology to support parents and teachers?
Suggestion of tech showcase for remote and inclusive learning proudly develped in EU. This technology supports AR learning cross operational systems and devices, the winner of Digital Innovation Challenge Competition 2020.

Augmenting K-12 Learning for Kids with Speacial Needs

Covid-19 has pushed schools for remote and hybrid learning and has created challenges that education was not ready for to effectively accommodate inclusion of students with SEN. Augmented Reality (AR) Edtech promotes inclusive practices of all children in education, thus, exercising their basic human rights for best possible education. During digital learning AR became one of the Edtech that supports educational needs and social adaptation of children with developmental disabilities & learning difficulties (ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome). This approach stimulates interest in studies and improvement of cognitive capabilities through seeing, hearing, and touching the knowledge. The use of AR technology helps break the barriers for people with disabilities and provide them with access to the most innovative educational programs.

CONNECT University and SG EU Policymaking Hub session on “Digital Learning”

Keynote on AR in Education

eXtended Reality including Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (AR) provide exciting opportunities in the field of education and training, by making people’s learning experience much more interactive and immersive. In AR, real world objectives can be enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information. VR, on the other hand, have the advantage to provide individuals with the possibility for embodied experiences allowing them to see, hear and feel digital stimuli as if they were in the physical world, and thereby allowing access to experiences that rely on scarce or access-limited resources (e.g. flying to the moon) or access to experiences that are impossible to achieve in a physical way.
CONNECT University - the flagship of the EU Commission’s Directorate General on Communication Networks, Content and Technologies (DG Connect) is dedicated to exploring the Future of Digital and current policy work on all digital fields. It aims to inform about the latest digital trends and challenges which are highly linked with EU's relevant policies and serve as a platform for sharing knowledge through thematic discussions, workshops and seminar.
