Improving body diversity and sizing experience by using feed engine in a fashion ecommerce

Fashion needs to be more inclusive. One of the main challenges in the market today is to contemplate the diversity of bodies in a discourse that delivers brand experience and honesty in relation to sizes that meet real bodies, in all their beauty, variety of proportions, textures, colors, sizes... Allied to this challenge, we have an opportunity brought by video reviews promoted by social networks (Instagram and Tiktok), the so-called fitting room challenges and "get ready with me". What if we took the experience of social networks into the context of ecommerce in a product design that connects the measurements of people using sellers and other users who create content within a community logic? this is Feed Farm, powerd by Figma to the world we would love to live!

Gamifying the handoff: a collaborative experience in building a multi-brand Design System

Studies of human behavior have already more than proved that people are motivated by various connections and correlations made between their expectations and the products they use, based on experiences of reward or frustration. Game theory has immense value and countless applications in the most diverse sectors of the digital world and this logic was used by the Soma Group team, the largest fashion group in Brazil, in the construction of a multi-brand design system. We gamify the designer-developer experience to ensure the effectiveness of the components, tokens and templates created, as well as the engagement of the teams in the deliveries of each phase.

Componentizing team components and their properties

Leading a team of Designers who live in a huge diversity of contexts, in a country of continental proportions and who are responsible for products with a huge number of sessions and users is a task that demands humanization and organization skills, so that the delivery of value be done and business results achieved along with individuals' goals.

For complex products, Figma brings simplifying solutions such as Design Systems support, componentization and the possibility of working with component properties. What if we used the same logic to componentize the development of each designer? If we had the "Stakeholder Component"? and create systems that connect daily tasks, surveys, metrics and reports in smart documents within Figma's own structure, providing a gamified experience of asynchronous work?

That's what we do here at FARM, the first Brazilian fashion brand to conquer the world and be present in 3 continents!

Collecting stakeholder feedback using contextual pins: making asynchronous work easier

as product designers, we use onboarding on screens and tooltips as interface learning resources so that anyone can understand new concepts. What if this same logic was used to collect feedback from stakeholders in an asynchronous work scenario in the post-pandemic context?
