In 2003 I spotted new agile ways to develop software and, as a young entrepreneur I gave them a try. I introduced agile in eBay Italia, Siemens and FAO but in 2011 I realized the problem often is in organisations’ governance and in the agreements we negotiate. This led me to become a member of the board of European Organisation Design Forum (EODF).
I wrote a few books: “Pro PHP Refactoring”, a TDD chapter in “PHP Best Practices” and “Extreme Contracts” in 2017, on contracts and negotiation in knowledge work. I also contributed to a couple of books written by Jurgen Appelo.
I am among the founders of ALE Agile Lean Europe network, PHP User Group Roma and Arduino User Group Roma.
I’ve got a sailing license because of the sea, a glider pilot license because of the sky and I am an LSP facilitator certified by Lucio Margulis.

🛠️Perché le cose vanno sempre peggio dei piani?
Hai mai notato che le cose sembrano andare sempre peggio di quanto pianificato, soprattutto quando si tratta di compiti complessi? Questo workshop mira a fare luce sulle dinamiche sottostanti che contribuiscono a questo fenomeno e introduce il concetto di ergodicità come argomento chiave.
Attraverso una combinazione di presentazione, discussioni facilitate e un gioco, i partecipanti impareranno i principi dell'ergodicità e come questi si relazionino all'organizzazione del lavoro. Ispirato al libro "The Goal" di Eliyahu Goldratt, il gioco sfiderà i partecipanti a riflettere su come i processi di lavoro possano involontariamente creare sfortuna e... casino.
Agile Pro Nobis
In vent'anni o poco meno l'approccio agile allo sviluppo del software è passato da un esoterismo ridicolizzato ad una religione mainstream, con tutto il corpus di credenze e prassi tipiche di entrambe le fasi.
Chi vuole più codice e meno alberi da abbracciare e chi vuole più soft skill e meno sindrome di Asperger; chi vuole redimere le banche, chi vuole l’ascesi del garage startupparo; chi rimane aggrappato alle tavole del Manifesto e chi reinventa la Ruota™ per fare presa su un mercato in cui è davvero difficile differenziarsi. Ne abbiamo di ogni tipo.
C'è qualcosa che non va in questo attaccamento viscerale per come le cose andrebbero fatte senza la stessa cura e la stessa quantità di discorsi dedicati invece a cosa si dovrebbe fare. Perché, come nelle religioni vere, non bisogna dimenticare che anche l’agile è nato con uno scopo molto semplice: fare tutti felici. Il problema è che “semplice” e “facile” non sono la stessa cosa!
E nel mondo del software non c'è un al di là in cui rifarsi.
