It is projected that by setting up internal platform engineering teams, 80% of large software engineering companies will be able to provide reusable tools, services, and components for application delivery. The ultimate goal of platform engineering is to resolve the core issue of cooperation between software developers and operators. But wasn’t this the pledge of DevOps? It seems it wasn’t sufficient, as developers often face cognitive overload in their interactions and software delivery processes.
