Hi there!

I'm Lewis, a Dual Microsoft MVP in Business Applications & M365 and a Modern Workplace Consultant at Avanade.

I've been in the Microsoft space for a while now, starting as a Sixth Form student collaborating with my school's wider trust to build 10+ solutions for faculty operations and classroom productivity. With the numerous opportunities I've encountered since in the workplace and community, I now work with enterprise / s500 Power Platform customers, focusing on their implementations and enabling their organisations with low-code tools. My team and I collaborate with enterprise low-code customers from various industries on different use cases, from custom sales processes to Customer Service implementations, operational process automation, and enabling organizations to succeed with low-code in a safe environment with the appropriate and relevant guardrails.

I'm also active in the Microsoft community, focusing on Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Power Platform technologies, I run the Bletchley Park AI Microsoft User Group, and write regularly on my blog lewisdoes.dev. I also enjoy speaking at community conferences and on online webcasts.

Building data driven UX together: Power Platform with a sprinkle of Microsoft Graph

User experience is a broad spectrum, and there is a lot to unpack here. We commonly make confusions between concepts like user interface, graphical user interface and user experience. We'll begin this full day tutorial by unpacking what user experience actually is, some of the sub-focuses, and then we'll focus the theme of our day together on building data driven user experiences.

Once we unpack what user experience actually is, we'll spend our day together exploring concepts around data driven user experiences, contextualising data to deliver impact in a user interface, and we'll actually make those things happen in some technical implementations.

Not familiar with Microsoft Graph? No worries! This tutorial is perfect for Power Platform friends ready to explore the world of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Graph. We'll begin simple, and we'll work up to building data driven user experiences in Power Platform, covering things like custom connectors and working with APIs before we design some impactful user experiences for you to all take away and build in your own applications.

So, want to save your users time, and use information effectively to build data driven approaches to user experience? Join me in this full day tutorial for a jam-packed day of all things Power Platform, Microsoft Graph, User Experience design and maybe even some Copilot 👀😉

See you there, friends! 👋

Bring your contextual data to life with Microsoft Graph and Power Platform

Ever worked on a project where you have information stored in multiple locations, and had the all too frequent request "can you send me a link to that file, I can't remember where we put it?". Or had project managers repeatedly ask you how many hours you spent in meetings with your customer? Data projects typically deal with the storage and analysis of business data, but data about the process you took to get it there isn't managed at all. What if you could have a single pane of glass to see all your meetings, SharePoint files, to-do lists, and information about your team? With the Microsoft Graph API you can leverage all of that! Join us as we talk about what the Graph API is, and show you how can integrate it in your Power Platform solutions to bring your contextual data to life.

What you haven't already seen with Deep Links in Power Apps and Dynamics 365

Deep linking has been a powerful feature in Power Apps and Dynamics 365 that enables users to navigate directly to a specific screen or record within an app. In this session, we will explore how deep linking works for both canvas apps and model-driven apps in the browser, and discuss some of the common use cases for deep links.

But that's not all! We'll also dive into the less commonly known capability of deep linking into both canvas apps and model-driven apps so that links open directly in the mobile apps for Power Apps and Dynamics 365. This is especially useful for scenarios where users need to access app content on the go, without having to navigate through multiple screens to get to the desired content.

During the session, I will demonstrate how to create deep links that work seamlessly in both browser and mobile environments, and provide tips and tricks to ensure your deep links work as expected. We'll also discuss some of the best practices for incorporating deep links into your apps, and share real-world examples of how organizations are leveraging this feature to improve user productivity and engagement.

If you're looking to take your deep linking skills to the next level and learn how to create seamless app experiences across multiple platforms, this is the session for you. Join us for an informative and interactive discussion on what you haven't already seen with deep links in Power Apps and Dynamics 365.
