Maarten Eekels (@maarteneekels) is Microsoft MVP, Microsoft Regional Director, and CTO of Rapid Circle, one of the larger Microsoft Cloud implementation partners in the Netherlands. Maarten is an experienced Microsoft Cloud and Security advocate and already since 2003 he is involved in implementing Microsoft technologies. Besides that, Maarten is mentoring start-ups and helping founders and leaders break through glass ceilings for growing their business and helping avoid certain pitfalls. Also, Maarten is a regular speaker on both national and international events, like conferences, community events and user group meetings. In his personal life, Maarten is a passionate cyclist and certified wine sommelier.

Microsoft Teams Architecture Deep Dive
In this session we will do a deep dive into how Microsoft Teams has been architected. I will cover the logical architecture of Teams, where conversations, images, files, voicemails and recordings are stored, and what connections Teams has with other Microsoft products and services outside the Microsoft perimeter. Also, I will talk about the compliancy and security features of Teams. And last, but not least, I’ll demonstrate how you can leverage the power of Teams through the Microsoft Graph.
Microsoft Stream on SharePoint unwrapped
Video is becoming more and more important in our daily lives. In the past 30 days, more online video content has been uploaded to the web than the past 30 years of TV content has been created. Microsoft has had a vision where video would play an important role in any organisation for a long time. It started with Office 365 Video, then Microsoft Stream was launched, and nowadays we already call that Stream classic and “Stream on SharePoint” is the new thing.
In this session we will unwrap what Stream on SharePoint has to offer. How does it work, both technically and functionally, and how can you use Stream to create, share, discover, and manage video just as you would any other file? Also, we will build a video portal site from the ground up, leveraging SharePoint’s awesome content management features and we’ll use Viva Connections to publish that portal to Microsoft Teams.
Calculate your cloud footprint with the Microsoft Emissions Impact Dashboard
Microsoft has recently released two Power BI template apps to help you measure your Microsoft Cloud-based emissions and carbon savings potential. One for your Azure footprint and one for Microsoft 365. In this session I will explain how these two dashboards can help you track direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions, and how Microsoft calculates your carbon footprint. If you still have an on-premises footprint, the app also helps you calculate possible carbon savings by moving those workloads to the cloud, which could help you in your business case. I’ll demonstrate how to set up both apps and how to leverage the data they produce.
