As a Power Platform developer did you ever find yourself building integrations between Dataverse and other systems using Power Automate? It's right there, it's easy to do, it has tons of connectors, and Microsoft promotes it as part of their integration story. It's an obvious choice! 👍

Embed Canvas Apps in Outlook for custom experiences 🔥 en de
Canvas Apps provide an awesome way of presenting tailored UIs to your customers in order to enable them to solve their problems in the best possible way. However a lot of users still love their Outlook client and seem to spend most of their time writing mails in it. Power Apps already provides an built-in Outlook Add-in to get Model-Driven Apps running in Outlook, but there is no such way for Canvas Apps.
In this session we will do a deep dive in embedding Canvas Apps, specifally embedding them in the beloved Outlook clients. By doing a live demo of building our own custom Outlook Add-in featuring an embedded Canvas App. We build the solution and show in demo cases how we can leverage it to enable users to use the full feature set of the platform (Power Automate, Power BI) right from their Outlook.

Microsofts Dataverse hatte schon viele Namen (Common Data Service, Project Oakdale, Dynamics XRM, ...) und wird meistens als die "Datenbank der Dynamics CRM Apps" beschrieben. Dies ist aber nur die halbe Wahrheit, gerade heutzutage bietet das Dataverse viele Möglichkeiten für einen immer größeren Kreis von Makern. Brauchte man früher noch eine Dynamics 365 Lizenz so reicht heute bereits eine Power Apps oder Office Lizenz.
In dieser Session wollen wir uns die Features anschauen, die das Dataverse so vielseitig einsetzbar machen und erkunden wie es auch aus der Sicht von Canvas Apps und Flows genutzt werden kann. Gerade im Vergleich zu alternativen Datenspeichern aus dem Office / Microsoft Kosmos, bietet das Dataverse hier echte Geschwindigkeitsvorteile beim Entwickeln und eine erleichterte Wartung & Pflege von Apps.
Dabei geht es weniger - außer einem kleinen Einstieg - um die Theorie, viel mehr wollen wir anhand von viele Demos uns der Thematik nähern. Es wird daher auch keine Vorkenntnis über das Dataverse benötigt, wir eignen uns die wichtige Dinge innerhalb der Session an, auch wie man direkt im Anschluss mit seiner eigenen Entwicklungsumgebung loslegen kann!
