Continuous Delivery pipelines for cloud infrastructure

Infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Pulumi allow developers to describe their (cloud) infrastructure in code. Software development teams use them nowadays to manage their cloud resources. Still the question remains how you can properly automate the workflow around these tools to reduce the risk in deploying cloud infrastructure at scale.

This talk focuses on the considerations that one should make when running infrastructure code inside a Continuous Delivery pipeline. We will also dive into topics like proper development workflows for infrastructure code, testing your infrastructure code and disaster recovery.

The target group of the presentation are software engineers who already use infrastructure-as-code tools and now want to take the next steps towards automation.

Feedback (not only) for Software Developers

As a leading agile software consultancy, Thoughtworks recognises that high-performing teams are not just built overnight; they are cultivated through an authentic agile mindset centred on effective feedback. We understand that 'feedback' is a term that can often be misunderstood or undervalued. Therefore, in this session, we aim to demystify the agile feedback process and elucidate the mindset that underpins it.

During this session, we will explore:

* The integral role of feedback within an authentic agile framework.
* Decoding the essence of agile feedback: what makes it distinct and effective.
* Various modalities and types of feedback.
* Qualities that make feedback not just constructive but transformative.
* Steps to embed a feedback-centric culture that aligns with agile principles.

We extend an invitation to those who are keen to move beyond the surface-level understanding of feedback and delve into its role in shaping high-performance agile teams.

Continuous Delivery pipelines for cloud infrastructure

Infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Pulumi allow developers to describe their (cloud) infrastructure in code. Software development teams use them nowadays to manage their cloud resources. Still we see many developer teams running those tools outside of a CI/CD pipeline, which causes lots of headaches if things go wrong.

This talk focuses on some considerations that one should make when running infrastructure code inside a pipeline. We will also dive into topics like proper development workflows for infrastructure code and disaster recovery.

The target group of the presentation are software engineers who already use infrastructure-as-code tools and now want to take the next steps towards automation.

This talks has been given multiple times at various conferences and meetups. We can adopt the content to make it a fit for 30 - 60 minutes.
