Quiana serves as the Director for Auxiliary Services and University Housing at Governors State University in University Park, IL. Her work centers on Housing/Residence Life, Student Leadership Programs, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Fund Development, and DEIB Initiatives. As Co-Founder of Black Student Affairs Professionals (BLKSAP) with Dr. Nequel Burwell, Ed.D, she leads an online community of over 13.3K Black professionals in higher education, providing virtual spaces for engagement, support, mentorship, and resources. Quiana is a contributing author/editor of '#BLACKOUT - Real Issues and Real Solutions to Real Challenges Facing Black Student Affairs Professionals' and co-hosts The Meeting After the Meeting Podcast (#TMATMPod). She recently completed her term as regional President for GLACUHO. A first-generation college student from Gary, Indiana, she holds a BSPH with a Minor in Legal Studies, a Certificate in Public Management, and an MPA from Indiana University-Bloomington. She earned a Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from the University of South Florida and is pursuing her doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership at GovState.
