Anyone working in user interface design or development, sooner or later, gets in close contact with a design system. There are almost as many ways as adopting a design system into an organization as there are stars in the observable universe, which means you can get lost during the process. Luckily, there are best practices and patterns too!
I’ve been working on defining a maturity model on design systems, based on research during my own journey and will present the model during the talk. You will learn to identify where your organization stands right now in order to help you decide what next steps you can take.
In this talk, we’ll uncover different stages of adopting a design system into an organization, from utilizing a bootstrap like library to building a full fledged design system by yourself.
I also encourage you to recognize that the more we share from our journeys, the mode we can learn from each other.
