Observability for Everyone with OpenTelemetry

Observing an application means we know what it's up to at any point in time. Applications need observability for multiple teams. Developers need observability data to diagnose and fix bugs, I.T. folks need to know if the system is currently running in a healthy state, and the business teams need to know how the system is being used by users to plan future work. All of these use cases are guided by observability metrics emitted by the system.

In this session we'll discuss the use cases different teams want to observe in a system, and then look at how OpenTelemetry can help us develop applications to support those use cases. We'll also look at some introductory level demo code getting started with OpenTelemetry.
