Considering the needs of the "Maker" persona when implementing a Centre of Excellence

We've all heard about the ‘Microsoft Centre of Excellence Starter Kit’ and the need for the "Admin" persona to define and support the implementation of an organisations Power Platform "Governance" strategy - but how do you communicate and support your Makers to adhere to these successfully?

A well-defined Centre of Excellence governance model will include (as a minimum) an Environment Management strategy, Data Loss Prevention policies and Data Storage considerations.

The question is – ‘How’ does a Maker know anything about these policies and ‘How’ do they successfully create Apps and Flows without getting into trouble!

This session covers the theoretical considerations of a Maker, including:

- ‘What’ can Makers do 'out of the box' without any governance?
- How do your makers know what they can and cannot build?
- How do your makers know where they should be storing the data?
- How do you manage what environment Apps and Flows should be created in?
- How does a Maker know what DLP policies are applied to each environment?
- How do you control Apps and Flows with premium licencing requirements?
- How do you control and support the creation of Personal Productivity Apps and Flows vs. Business Critical, organisational Apps and Flows?
