Redefining Isolation in Azure with Network Security Perimeter

For years, securing Azure PaaS resources has often meant building protection around each service using Private Endpoints, virtual networks, firewall rules and DNS configuration. Effective defenses, but sometimes with a lot of infrastructure to manage.

Now there is another way to create a security boundary around your PaaS resources.

Azure Network Security Perimeter introduces a logical security boundary around Azure PaaS resources, allowing services to be protected as part of the same perimeter rather than treating every resource as a separate networking problem.

This changes how we can think about isolation in Azure. Instead of only protecting resources one by one, we can start defining which services belong inside the boundary, what should be allowed to cross it, and where the line between trusted and untrusted resources should be drawn.
