Drupal has always thrived on the principles of openness, flexibility, and collaboration. As digital experience platforms (DXPs) evolve, the community has an opportunity to shape how the next generation of open DXPs are built—leveraging the power of Drupal at their core.

In this session, we’ll explore the exciting possibilities of creating an extensible DXP layer on top of Drupal. This is an initiative involving multiple communities to connect tools like Drupal, Mautic, Unomi, and others into a seamless ecosystem that empowers users to manage content, customer data, and marketing automation through a unified interface.

We’ll discuss the architectural challenges and solutions involved in building a modular DXP that integrates multiple components, manages a unified data layer, focusing on community-driven innovation, open-source best practices, and the technical contributions that are pushing the boundaries of what Drupal can do. This session will also touch on how we envision this project benefiting the community, offering opportunities for partners and developers to contribute modules and extend its capabilities.
