- Using Azure AI Studio to provision and manage an Azure AI resource

Intro to Semantic Kernelen

In this session we will learn the basis of Semantic Kernel and see how we can start working with Semantic Kernel in either C# or Python.
During the session we will review how to:

- Configure your local machine to run Semantic Kernel
- Run AI prompts from the kernel
- Make AI prompts dynamic with variables
- Create a simple AI agent
- Automatically combine functions together with planners
- Store and retrieve memory with embeddings

I was born and raised in Argentina, then I lived +11 years in Spain and +3 years ago I moved to Canada. During the past 15 years I was an outsider, and this also impacted my professional life. I was lucky enough to travel for 5 years working in Europe, and I learned a lot on how my latino background impacted my professional career.
This session is mostly sharing what I’ve learned during these past years. How I learned to get the most from sentences like “You have a very strong accent; I don’t think you will fit this meeting. These are Senior Executives” or “Wow, your accent is amazing, our leadership team will love it!”. In both scenarios, I manage to move from frustration or surprise to a let’s focus on our business.
And it’s not only about language and accent; family, culture and even food and drinks are a part of the story. Espero que nos veamos en la sesion!

How GitHub CoPilot 🤖 is helping me with code and docs at Microsoften

GitHub Copilot works with a broad set of frameworks and languages. Currently Copilot supports Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, Java, and Go. However, I also used it with other languages like C++ and C#; and even while I'm writing documentation with MarkDown.

I'm always in charge. Cycling through Copilot suggestions and manually editing the suggested code is an amazing flow. What I really like is that GitHub Copilot adapts to my own code style.

During this session, we will review how Copilot works with Python, C++, C# and Markdown. And also, how I'm getting help while I'm learning new languages like JavaScript or TypeScript 😁.

The cosmic power of Azure Cosmos DB and Azure IoT telemetry to feed itty bitty wildlife 🐿️en

Winter is here and my backyard squirrels friends still come every day to get some food, snow is not a problem for them.

In this session we will review the basic concepts of Azure IoT and we will create a simple animal detector. When an animal is detected, the device will feed them. The solution will send telemetry to Azure IoT and store the information in Cosmos DB without writing a line of code.

We'll share a few implementation options, so you can get some fun ideas and walk away with a plan to start creating your own masterpiece.

🤖 Copilot Time! Let's build a PlugIn for ChatGPT, BingChat and other Copilotsenes

In this workshop, we will create a plugin for ChatGPT from scratch. We will see examples in different programming languages such as Javascript, .NET, or Python. We will also explore the architecture that supports a plugin and how this model can be used for other platforms like BingChat or Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Bonus: we will use GitHub Codespaces so we won't need a local dev environment!
