If you have designed a sematic model for a data warehouse, you know most of what you need to develop a semantic model for Power BI, but there are some important differences to improve the overall performance and maintenance within Fabric. In this session we will review the differences and include design patterns for Row Level Security, data aggregations, and DAX Development. We will also review different design patterns for Composite Models, Direct Query, Import and Dual modes and how to organize them for optimal Fabric environments.
