Build a Fabric solution in 1h as a Power BI Developer

Have you been trying to understand Fabric and get into the Fabric world, coming from a Power BI background? Perhaps you want to make that first move towards Fabric but don't know where to start? Or you've bounced off Fabric because it seemed too overwhelming at first contact, packed with too many similar features and services?

If your answer to at least one of these three questions is yes, then this session is for you. During this 1h session I will give you a hands-on guided tour of Fabric from the perspective of a Power BI Developer. I will cover not only the theory; the lion's share of this session will be building a working, end-to-end solution in Fabric using terms and components that you will find familiar as a Power BI Developer. You'll learn to use Dataflows, a Lakehouse, a Fabric Semantic Model and a Power BI report. I'll also teach you some gamechangers in Fabric that were previously not possible with just Power BI or significantly more complex to configure. These will include orchestrating the whole ELT process using Data pipelines, configuring an 'incremental refresh' for any data source using the Append write mode as well as using the Direct Lake connectivity mode.

After the session you will:
- understand what Fabric is and how it can be the next step for you as a Power BI Developer.
- be equipped with knowledge to work with key Fabric components and leverage the Fabric gamechanger features.
- be able to build your first Fabric analytics solution.

The session assumes your background is related to creating Power BI reports. It would be great if prior to attending the session you would experience with dimensional modelling, Power Query, semantic models and visualizing data in Power BI.
