UX for complex business applications

At first sight, business- or enterprise applications seem to follow a set of UX-requirements like any other type of application. Users are still people who are using devices under different circumstances, aiming to accomplish or satisfy something. But there is more to it than meets the eye…

For example: why is the application being used? Rather than for personal use, a business app is created to meet the needs of the organization. An organization with specific, and often unique, business needs. Enterprise software aims at improving productivity and efficiency by incorporating business logic in order to reach their goals. This is where standard UI components are insufficient and specific API’s need to be built with intricate queries.

UX shouldn’t happen on an island and therefore should aim at integration on any level or stage within a project. From the end users and business to the developers, analysts, architects, scrum master,…, we strive to get everyone on board the User Experience Design Boat.

Hendrik and Evelyne, a team of two experienced User Experience Consultants, will take you from a UX-methodology and tell you about the stress points, differences and integration in the development cycle. Focusing on improved user satisfaction, ease of use and successfully accomplishing targets or goals. With Hendrik’s extensive background as an analyst and Evelyne’s years of experience as a developer they form a well attuned team with a strong passion for UX who feel the need to share what they have encountered so far.
They will show you some examples of successful projects, as well as the choppy seas where they swam through and how this team of two people, with unique backgrounds, works so well.
All Aboard!
