Integrating AI into .NET Apps with Semantic Kernel

Adding AI to a mature .NET stack can feel like bolting a jet engine onto a stagecoach. Semantic Kernel turns that refactor into a clean interface call.

First, we’ll outline the roadblocks—prompt handling, skill wiring, and state—facing teams that want conversational or reasoning features.

Next, we’ll live-code a West World of Warcraft (WWoW) quest-giver NPC that calls C# methods, stores embeddings, and runs against Azure OpenAI, showing how SK keeps prompts, functions, and memory aligned.

Finally, we’ll run the bot through a mini quest and inspect logs to prove the pattern scales.

Attendees leave knowing how to drop SK into any ASP.NET or console project and ship a maintainable, testable AI feature in hours, not sprints.
