Mobile IoT with .NET Maui: Bluetooth, NFC, and Beyond
Developing IoT applications that interact with a wide range of hardware across Android and iOS requires mastering multiple communication protocols while maintaining consistent performance.
This talk will demonstrate how to use .NET MAUI to create IoT applications that efficiently communicate with peripherals through a variety of protocols.
- Bluetooth, NFC, and Peer-to-Peer Communication - Understand how to implement Bluetooth (including BLE) and NFC communication for device interaction, including NFC Peer-to-Peer for direct device-to-device data exchange across Android and iOS platforms.
- Wi-Fi Direct, USB, and Serial Communication - Learn how to utilize Wi-Fi Direct for peer-to-peer connections, USB communication for direct peripheral interfacing, and Serial communication (UART/RS232) to interact with specialized hardware.
- Beacons and Infrared - Explore the use of Beacons for location-based interactions and Infrared for controlling IR-enabled devices, enhancing the versatility of your IoT application.
Attendees will gain the skills to develop cross-platform IoT applications using .NET MAUI, integrating communication protocols such as Bluetooth (BLE), NFC, Wi-Fi Direct, USB, Serial, Beacons, Infrared, and NFC Peer-to-Peer. They will be able to build versatile solutions that interact seamlessly with diverse hardware on both Android and iOS.
