Hello AI World! - Why Developers Should Care About AI

Artificial Intelligence is everywhere! AI is beginning to transform our products, our companies, and our world. However, most software developers have not yet learned how to add these new AI tools to their products and services.

In this session, you'll learn about all of the modern data-driven AI tools available to software developers. We'll survey a wide variety of state-of-the-art tools for performing automated tasks with tables, text, audio, images, video, and more.

You'll learn how to use machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning to solve a wide variety of real-world problems. In addition, you'll learn how to compose these models together to build modular AI applications and cyber-physical systems.

Expect to see a series of quick demos of how to use these modern AI tools from Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. They are surprisingly easy to use now. If you can call a REST API, you now have access to a world full of new AI superpowers for your software.

If you're looking for a quick survey of everything that you can currently do with state-of-the-art AI, without getting into all of the math, code, or vendor specifics, then this session is right for you!
