Stop Duct-Taping Your Agent Together

You finished the prototype. The agent answers questions, calls a tool or two, and demos beautifully. Then someone asks: "What happens when it's wrong? How do we monitor it? What if it hallucinates policy?" And you realize the scaffold holding it together is mostly duct tape.
This session shows a better way. Using Microsoft Foundry's managed agent capabilities, we'll walk through an internal support agent that retrieves grounded enterprise content, calls approved tools, knows when to escalate, and gives you real visibility into what it's doing and why.
This is for engineers and architects who've moved past "can we build this?" and are now asking "can we actually run this?" If that's where you are, this session has concrete answers.
Attendees leave able to: explain the core components of a production agent, compare DIY orchestration with managed approaches, implement a simpler agent architecture for a real workflow, and troubleshoot common failure modes before they become incidents.
