Microsoft Web Development in 2025

There are a lot of things going on in the .NET ecosystem, and a lot of it is has to do with the way that we build solutions for the web. However, it can sometimes be tricky to try and stay on top of all the new features, while at the same time try to stay productive at work... That's where this workshop comes in!

For two days, Chris Klug, a developer, software architect and public speaker from Sweden, will walk you through some of the most interesting and useful features, tools and technologies in the ASP.NET ecosystem. Including both new features like .NET Aspire and minimal APIS, and some older ones that you might have missed, like Project Orleans and how to do integration testing of ASP.NET projects. It will even cover a few older, "basic" things, like authentication and authorization to make sure you understand how they work.

And after you have got a decent introduction to the different technologies, you get to play with them yourself.

The goal is to give you an understanding of a wide a set of features and technologies that can help you build the best web-based solution possible.

During the 2 days, you will build a multi-service application using (among other things)

- ASP.NET Core MVC and minimal API:s
- gRPC
- YARP
- Entity Framework Core
- Project Orleans
- .NET Aspire
- FastEndpoints
- Duende Identity Server
- Azure
- Docker
- and more

The two days are obviously intended to be as interactive as possible to make sure that you get the information that you need. So, come well-rested, curios and prepared learn and and ask questions.

This workshop is targeted at .NET developers with experience in ASP.NET. It will be fairly fast paced, as there are a lot of things to cover in a "short" amount of time. However, there will also be plenty of opportunity to ask questions throughout the days.
