Unlock D365 with Azure Integrating Services

Microsoft offers Dynamics as a line of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software applications. It is available for different verticals such as manufacturing, retail, and financial services.

In recent years, many organizations have moved to the cloud with their applications and data or will move in the wake of COVID-19. Moreover, organizations that have moved to the cloud are now discovering that as you adopt more cloud technology, the need for integration between those systems increases. This also applies to organizations that leverage D365 and need to communicate to other systems to support their business processes.

Unlocking D365 in the cloud to enable communication with various other systems requires services available in Azure like Logic Apps and Functions. Furthermore, other aspects like volume, frequency, governance, security, and deployments should be considered as well.

Thus, in this session, the speaker will share his experience unlocking D365 leveraging Azure Integration Services to exchange data with other systems. In addition, he will share pitfalls and lessons learned.

Integrating Azure Cosmos DB in your Cloud Solution

When there is a NoSQL requirement in your cloud solution on the Azure Cloud Platform, there is a managed service available with Cosmos DB. Azure Cosmos DB is Microsoft’s offering for a distributed NoSQL service in the Cloud. As a Cloud Architect, I designed solutions leveraging Azure Cosmos DB, and I like to share my experience in this session. You can create cloud solutions with Azure Cosmos DB integrating them with other services such as Azure Search, Functions, and Logic Apps. In the session, I will show the integration, combined with real-world use cases and demos.

Building Event-driven solution on Microsoft Azure

Event-driven architectures (EDA) are not new. However, building a cloud solution based on EDA is - considering the release of services like Azure Event Grid, AWS EventBridge, and Google Eventarc.

Join me in a session on designing, building, and managing an event-driven solution in Azure leveraging Azure Service like Event Grid.

Furthermore, I will discuss how developers can build event-driven solutions on AWS and GCP with their respective services. And how their service offering differs from Azure Event Grid.

Let systems communicate using Azure Integration Services

How do I let my systems talk with each other in the Cloud or let's say in Azure? Well, Microsoft's answer to that is Azure Integration Services (AIS) - consisting of Logic Apps, API Management, Event Grid and the Service Bus. With these components, you can build solutions in Azure to facilitate communication between on-premise systems, SaaS systems or Azure services or what is known as integration.

AIS allows you to build various types of integration solutions leveraging different messaging mechanisms and ways of 'loose coupling'. Furthermore, AIS can help in automating your business processes whether or not in combination with the Power Platform component - Power Automate.

In this session, we shall discuss the AIS Components, the options for a solution architecture to allow systems to talk, best practices, real-world use cases, and combing AIS with Power Automate to facilitate business process automation.

AI/ML, Integration and Monitoring – Your Integration Projects of the Future?

What is Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Integration and Monitoring? AI/ML is trending; integration and monitoring are standard. Hence, soon you, as integration professional might onboard on projects with an AI/ML component. What now?

This talk will present the current state of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Integration and Monitoring and how they relate and complement each other. Furthermore, the speaker will share his experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Integration and Monitoring by going through real-world use-cases.

Azure Cosmos DB - The Swiss Army NoSQL Cloud Database

Microsoft Cosmos DB is the swiss army NoSQL database in the cloud. It is a multi-model, multi-API, globally-distributed, highly-available, and secure N0-SQL database in Azure. In this session, we will explore its capabilities and features through several demos.

Building Workflow Solutions with Microsoft Azure and Cloud

Most will agree that a business process can be a workflow. But what do people think of when running workflows in the Cloud and in particular Azure or Microsoft Cloud. Because, Microsoft Azure and Cloud offer us several options to build them: No-code/low-code, and a code option with Power Automate, Logic Apps, and Durable Functions. In this session, we'll explore each and focus on building workflows with them. Furthermore, we'll see the differences and how each could complement the other.

Experience/knowledge/interest in building workflows in the Cloud would make the session more valuable for the attendees.

Build solutions leveraging the Artificial Intelligence Services in Microsoft Azure

The Microsoft Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform has a lot to offer. You can create custom AI solution with Machine Learning, leverage pre-built AI algorithms through Cognitive Service, and build conversational bots using the Azure Bot Framework. AI solutions can be developed using the available tooling like Visual Studio, ML Studio, and VS Tools for AI. In this session, you will learn how to create various AI solutions using the tooling and Azure AI Services.

Session duration 45 - 60 minutes.

Azure - Plug & Play Architecture

Microsoft Azure Platform offers a wide range of services, predominantly PaaS services. And building a solution architecture you will use various of these pluggable services. In this session a few real world Azure solution architectures will be discussed with 'plug & play' view. Why, how the solution where designed that way, pitfalls, alternatives, constraints and lessons learned.

Session duration 45 minutes, delivered the first time at IglooConf 2018: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zH30nWbHHI

CosmosDB, Graph and Azure Search, building a compelling cloud solution

CosmosDB is a new PaaS service available in Azure providing support for various models, global scale and availability. The supported Graph model unlocks new potential and combined with Azure Search you build a compelling solution. During this session a real-world scenario, pitfalls, experiences and best practices will be discussed.

Session duration 45 minutes. First time delivered at CloudBrew November 2017.

The way of the exploding workflow - Become a Logic App Expert

“Do you want to be an awesome low-code developer?” You will become the expert, like a karateka reaching the 10th Dan after this session. Over the years you as a developer might have faced many versions of workflow like K2, SharePoint, or Windows Workflow Foundation (WF). Furthermore, you might look for one in the cloud. Well, there’s some good news - the latest addition to the workflow in Azure is Logic Apps, a mature service enabling you to build business flows using a low-code approach. However, low-code you can still leverage your developer skills by integrating with Functions, leverage expressions, fiddle around in the code-behind file of a workflow definition, and build ARM templates. Moreover, before you know it, you will many of them - performing all kinds of tasks, and integrations to support your business processes. In this session, we will go on a journey to reach the 10th DAN using the analogy of the epic Commodore 64 game “the way of the exploding fist”!
