Teresa oversees all Garden of Eatin’ program efforts across the North Bay Children's Center organization. A systems thinker with over 25 years of experience in program and education leadership, including instructional farm to school initiatives, the development of a food and garden-based curriculum, and creating innovative nature inspired learning environments. Teresa has presented health, nutrition and wellness programming at state, national and local conferences and symposiums. She is committed to providing all children with diverse and equitable learning experiences and opportunities. She earned a master's degree in education with ESL certification and a master’s degree in Reading & Literacy. Professional certifications include Life Lab Garden Educator, North Carolina University Design in Early Childhood Outdoor Learning Environments, Outdoor Classroom Project, Nature Explore Leadership Institute and Trauma Informed Care. Teresa is passionate about creative collaborations, teamwork, facilitation, and approaching challenges with a growth mindset.

Wellness Practices for Children & Educators: A Holistic Approach to Health, Nutrition & Mindfulness

This presentation aims to explore the integration of health, nutrition, and mindfulness practices within early childhood education settings, with a particular focus on Head Start programs.
