Top 5 Cognitive Services for Microsoft 365

With Microsoft 365, you have a lot of opportunities to extend your solutions for adding even more value. With Azure Cognitive Services, you get a set of APIs you can leverage for adding intelligence as a service with ease to your Microsoft 365 services. Therefore, this session is all about adding the top 5 Cognitive Services to M365 services like SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams or even Microsoft Forms. This session contains a lot of demos so everyone attending can see what's already possible in that field.

Let's take your online presenting skills to the next level

Probably everyone with a certain job experience had some lessons on how to present ideas or results in front of an audience. We all learned that in school or through additional "soft skill" courses. With everything moving to online or virtual we need to rethink our approach towards presenting. In this session we will look at a few different setups and compare the needed hardware to the possible results. We will focus on presenting in Microsoft Teams but also look outside the box a bit.

Intrantes on SharePoint and Office365 - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

"What's the deal with Communication and Teams Sites?", "Should I use Teams or Groups for collaboration?", "Is on-premises dead?" "What about the SharePoint Starter Kit? Isn't that helping? Those questions sound familiar? Then let's talk about the different opportunities on how to orchestrate the core services of Office365 and SharePoint on-premises to deliver an intranet architecture that not only adds value but also drives user adoption.

Conversational AI in Azure - Best Practices from the trenches

The aim of this session is to outline best practices in terms of building conversational AI applications (aka "intelligent agents") as well as show some real-world examples of chatbots built with the Microsoft Bot Framework and Cognitive Services utilizing the Microsoft Conversational AI platform. This session should deliver valuable insights in the field of bot design and development paired with what's working and what's not working (yet) in order to successfully design and build bots using Microsoft the Conversational AI platform.
Moreover, useful guidelines and best practices will be discussed in order to introduce your digital agents into your modern workplace. Therefore, this session will walk through the steps of designing and implementing a chatbot designed to be connected to various channels increasing the use cases as well as user adoption.

Collaborate Smarter by leveraging Cognitive Services in SharePoint

One of the reasons SharePoint became so popular is the ability to create value on top of it, by creating custom solutions. With Modern SharePoint and the Microsoft 365 stack, it is now easier than ever for developers (and even IT Pros!) to leverage Cognitive Services to make SharePoint smarter for your users! Join this demo-filled session to learn how to leverage those services to achieve more in SharePoint Online!

Community Bot for OneDrive

This Session is about the story of myself. Two other MVPs want to digitize my OneDrive knowledge to build a Bot, which never sleeps and speaks more languages as I speak. It takes a while, while I have had to learn a lot about QnAMaker, MarkDown, AI, Knowledge Databases and after 620 Questions and the answers the Bot is running in Teams. So hear the story and see the Challenge: Ma against the Community BOT for OneDrive

Building your Virtual Assistant in Microsoft 365

Building a bot is the norm these days, but what makes a good bot and what makes a bot fail? In this session, we cover the basics of creating a bot inside the Microsoft 365 ecosystem using tools such as the Microsoft Bot Framework, Azure Bot Service and Cognitive Services together to help you enhance the collaboration and communication experience for your end users.

Boost your Modern Workplace with Microsoft's AI ecosystem

The Modern Workplace is an important topic, not only due to the fact that Microsoft is pushing a lot of effort and development power into that topic. Whether it is Microsoft 365 with all its productivity services like Teams and SharePoint Online within Office 365 or Azure services or even Windows 10, the modern workplace is an important building block in the Microsoft ecosystem. As Artificial Intelligence (AI) is here to stay, all these Modern Workplace services should not only bring productivity enhancements but should also be intelligent as well.
Therefore, the aim of this session is to give an overview of the Microsoft AI stack including real-world scenarios for deploying those services. Additionally, this session will cover possible fields of applications for AI services like Bots or Cognitive Services which can be used in the productivity services within Office 365 like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Skype for Business Online, Microsoft Forms, and others…

Azure DevOps for SPFx and Teams

While every development team has is very own style of working together, tools like Azure DevOps allow us to align the development along a defined process. Come and see how a group of about 20 people organises its work across different roles and multiple teams with the help of backlog items, sprint plannings and task boards in Azure DevOps. Learn about our journey from a project roadmap to a defined ALM process. By using Azure pipelines and artefacts, we can fully automate the process of building and deploying SPFx web parts, bots for Teams or Azure Functions. Learn how we as a team transformed from a classic SharePoint on-premises development org to a cloud-first mindset.

24 isn't 42: 20 years of SharePoint & 4 years of Teams - the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

SharePoint and Teams have a combined history of almost a quarter of a century, and lots has changed and continues to be developed.

Let's take a look together at the journey of the two: how it all started, where they cross paths, what the possible road ahead looks like, and what the impact on IT and the business is.

Blazor + Bot Framework = a Microsoft Teams Platform Dream Team

Join us to take a look behind the curtains of developing for Teams as a platform with a special view on a Blazor Web App running on Azure which can be smartly connected with a chatbot built using the Microsoft Bot Framework and Azure Conversational AI platform to get the most out of your LOB Teams applications!

Unite your Modern Workplace with Microsoft's AI ecosystem

Your workplace is an important topic. However, it's not a tool or service you buy of the shelf. It is an idea. It's your very own concept of teamwork. Microsoft is investing heavily in this area. For example, think of productivity tools like Teams or SharePoint, and their amount of out of the box features ready to use today. But we believe there is even more. By connecting the modern workplace with Microsoft's artificial intelligence ecosystem, we showcase how your concept of teamwork united with smart services opens the door to new use cases.
This session introduces services of the Microsoft AI stack customers use in their modern workplace. From information stored in your SharePoint lists to exposing your data warehouse KPIs in a dialogue, think of bots as a tool to break up those silos to surface the essential data in your intranet and collaboration spaces. Our demos leverage the platform capabilities of Teams and SharePoint to demonstrate how to unite Office365 with Bots and Cognitive Services and therefore open up your workplace concept to new ideas of combining Office365 and Azure.

Microsoft Teams & Bot Framework - a developer's perspective

In the official blog post announcing Teams Microsoft choose the wording of "… an entirely new experience that
brings together people, conversations and content …" For many reasons Teams is seen as the successor to Skype for Business and a sort of hero client for Office365. With all these big words it's time to have a close look at the developer story for Teams. How can it be extended to enterprise needs in terms of Tabs that can be based on SharePoint framewok webparts, Apps or Connectors. As Teams heavily fosters a chat based working style the option of deploying Bots also plays an important role in the developer perspective of Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Teams - the hub for teamwork as a platform

While every team is unique, one thing that is consistent is that every team will need a variety of apps and tools to get their work done. Since there is no such thing as a universal tool for work, the extensibility of the Teams platform delivers a universal hub for teamwork to infuse all those tools, together.
The Graph API and the Teams PowerShell cmdlets allow us to govern the whole lifecycle of Teams in the organization. This session also introduces extension points like tabs, connectors and bots. By using the built-in App Studio in Teams we can bundle these to tenant wide apps. With Teams, you can extend your own app or Services by allowing it to render inside of Teams in a variety of means and reach your audience in a new way.

Conversational AI applications in Microsoft Teams

While every team is unique, one thing that is consistent is that every team will need a variety of apps and tools to get their work done. Since there is no such thing as a universal tool for work, the extensibility of the Teams platform delivers a universal hub for teamwork to infuse all those tools, together.
This session will guide you through the development lifecycle of a chatbot built for Microsoft Teams to enrich your collaboration and communication experience. Basic design guidelines paired with working examples and real-world demos will help you understand the principles of designing conversational AI apps that fit into your hub for teamwork. Expect a lot of ideas, concepts and demos and less code.

Intrantes on SharePoint and Office365 - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

"What's the deal with Communication and Teams Sites?", "Should I use Teams or Groups for collaboration?", "Is on-premises dead?" Those questions sound familiar? Then let's talk about the different opportunities on how to orchestrate the core services of Office365 and SharePoint on-premises to deliver an intranet architecture that not only adds value but also drives user adoption. SPFx, PnP and Microsoft Graph build the technology base layer, whereas services like Flow, PowerApps or the Azure Bot Framework take your intranet to a new level. But never forget about the main target: your users must use it on a daily basis. This session gives an overview of the not so techie side, focusing on the tools in the design, architecture and roll-out phase and of course the setup of an ideal intranet project.

How to use SharePoint PnP assets in real world use cases

After attending this session you will have a better understanding of the many artefacts and assets within the SharePoint PnP. We will talk about how they can help to make your everyday life as an architect or developer easier. Based on examples from customer projects we will discuss a hybrid architecture for self-service site creation in the cloud and on premises. We will also discuss how the user interface of your solutions can be aligned with the look and feel of Office 365 or SharePoint Online.

10 things you should do with your Office365 demo or dev tenant

You need to create a new dev or demo tenant but have no idea where to start? Let's change that! There are some basic steps in the beginning of every tenant that just make your life so much easier, for example, enabling MFA for all your admin accounts. And then there are more resourceful things like using the demos available from the SharePoint PnP Provisioning service. If you want to start your next demo/dev tenant fast and easy this session is for you.
