Design Best Practices for Resilient and Configurable Systems

In this talk, we will delve into essential design best practices for building resilient and configurable systems. We will explore fallbacks as a strategy to handle failures, including correlated failures, where multiple components fail simultaneously. We will discuss how to implement constant work patterns to maintain consistent performance under varying loads. Additionally, we will delve into the significance of configuration management and its impact on system behavior. We will explore design patterns such as the sidecar pattern for modular and scalable architectures and the circuit breaker pattern for fault tolerance. Join us to learn how these design best practices can enhance the reliability, flexibility, and resilience of your systems.

Operational Excellence on Cloud-Native Apps

In this session, we will demonstrate how to think about operational readiness for cloud native applications. You will receive a comprehensive guide on best practices and operational excellence principles, and gain take away strategies to implement immediately so that you can launch applications successfully and efficiently.

Inside the Cloud: A Deep Dive into Cold Data Archiving

Cold data, though infrequently accessed, is valuable for regulatory, legal, audit, and disaster recovery purposes. Learn how strategic archiving can optimize cost, scalability, and performance. This talk highlights key archival features of AWS S3/Glacier, Azure Archive Storage, and Google Cloud Storage, exploring asynchronous access and data staging. We'll navigate the complexities of constructing enterprise-level distributed archival systems, and the role of metadata stores. Additionally, we tackle challenges of data integrity, continuous repair services, and system boundaries management on distributed archives. Attend for insights on archival strategies, distributed systems, and cloud archives.

Learn DynamoDB Data Modeling

Join us in this informative talk as we explore data modeling in DynamoDB with real world examples. Discover how to design data models that enable efficient access patterns and optimize filtering capabilities. We will cover essential techniques for structuring data to support diverse query requirements and establishing relationships between entities. Learn how to effectively filter data using partition and sort keys, enabling retrieval of specific items and ranges. Also we will Dive into Global Secondary Indexes (GSIs) sorting with timestamps.
