Security Through Isolation: MicroVMs for Code Review at Sc

Isolation is a primitive. At runtime, not in your threat model. You have untrusted code — user submissions, open-source dependencies, third-party integrations — that you need to execute without letting it break anything else or call home.
Lambda MicroVMs are Firecracker under the hood: a clean, ephemeral, single-use environment per invocation. We built an AI code review tool on top of it — clone a repo, run real security scans (bandit, ruff, safety) in isolation, feed the output to Bedrock, get a report back.
This session covers what the isolation boundary actually gives you, where it falls short, the measured costs, and which workloads beyond code review fit the same pattern. Because if you have untrusted execution to parallelize, MicroVMs change the math.

Agentic Code Analysis: Moving Beyond Checklists to Migration Plans

Legacy code assessment usually produces a PDF heat-map and a vague recommendation to "upgrade Java." AWS Transform does something different — it deploys an agentic loop that reads your entire codebase, builds a dependency graph, generates architecture diagrams, and outputs a phased migration plan with named next-step transformations.

I ran it against a real Spring Boot 2.5.14 + Java 8 + JBoss monolith. The agent produced 33 files in 61 minutes: full technical debt report with 8 findings prioritised by upgrade impact, sequence diagrams reasoned from source code, and a 6-phase migration sequence that respects leaf-first dependency order.

This session covers what agentic assessment gets you that manual tooling doesn't — and how assessment that actually names the next transformation changes the migration math. If you're managing legacy services, this is the assessment framework that feeds a real pipeline instead of sitting as a report.

Agentic QA in Production: Nova Act with AgentCore Browser

Agents are moving from chat into real work, and QA is one of the first places it shows. Amazon Bedrock AgentCore is AWS's infrastructure for running agents in production — runtime, identity, observability, and a managed Browser that gives every agent its own isolated, secure Chrome session with live view and replay.

Nova Act is the SDK that drives it: you describe a step in plain language, the agent works out the clicking.

This session walks through the architecture, a real automation we built, what worked and what didn't, and how a customer cut QA testing from months to days

I Let AWS AI Modernize & Pen-Test A Legacy App & Here’s What Actually Happened

What happens when you let AI modernize your legacy application — and then try to break it?
In this session, I’ll demonstrate how AWS Transform upgrades legacy code and how AWS Security Agent exposes real-world vulnerabilities — revealing a critical gap between code modernization and architectural security.

Exploring Amazon Q Business: Revolutionizing Enterprise Workflows with AI and AWS

This session will provide an in-depth look into Amazon Q Business, a powerful generative AI assistant designed to support and streamline enterprise workflows. We will explore the technology behind Amazon Q Business, which leverages AWS’s advanced infrastructure to automate tasks, access relevant data, and integrate seamlessly with tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, Jira, ServiceNow, and Zendesk. Attendees will learn about its features, including customizable web experiences, AWS Insights dashboards, and built-in plugins for automating business processes. The session will also focus on data privacy, security, and how businesses can securely access and manage data through AWS Q Business.
