Xu Wang is the vice chair of the Ant Group Open Source Technology Committee and also the head of the Container Infrastructure team. Xu joined Ant Group in 2019, and currently he is responsible for the development of the container-based Cloud-Native infrastructure and the open-source related strategies of Ant Group.
Before joining Ant Group, Xu was the CTO and co-founder of hyper.sh, a startup on secure container runtime technology, and co-launched Kata Containers project in 2017.
Sandbox for Agentic Application with Cloud Native Stack
Now a days, the applications are moving to agentic. On the other hand, as the codes fetched or generated by agents can not be treated as trusted product and we should keep our confidential data and infra control plane untouchable by the agent directly.
Based on existing (proved) Kubernetes infrastructure, we (kata container developers, ant open source team, and Japan AI team) build the sandbox services with agent-sandbox, Kata Containers, dragonfly, and pvm kernel virtualization driver, which make the service not only secure, but also secure enough.

Moving up the value creation chain: successes and challenges maintaining an OSPO in Tech Giant
OSPO has became a common denominator for open source compliance, practices, education, governance and many more. Having an OSPO would be critically important to a large corporation to be successful at open source. However, building OSPO might be easy, building long-lasting OSPO can be difficult, because the value creation need to be clear, measurable, which covers both the long term and short term business needs (revenue generation vs cost saving, for example).
This session will highlight both the success stories and challenges continuously encountered along the journey building and improving Ant Group's OSPO, which was a short yet enriching journey. It also represents an unique view to OSPO's perceived value by large corporate top leaders and our first hand experiences on aligning those with community needs and project growth.
