In this hands-on workshop, I’ll walk the audience through how to build a complete data engineering pipeline on Google Cloud—step by step.
Using a real-world example, I’ll demonstrate how I extract, transform, and load data into BigQuery, then build dashboards on Looker Studio to visualize it—all using native Google Cloud tools.
Here’s what I’ll cover:
1. Generating dummy employee data with Python (using the Faker library) and uploading it to Cloud Storage
2. Performing data transformation and masking sensitive information (like PAN numbers) using Cloud Data Fusion
3. Loading clean data into BigQuery, Google’s serverless data warehouse
4. Orchestrating the entire process with Cloud Composer (Airflow)
5. Creating visual reports in Looker Studio with charts and filters for business insights
