The Convergence - how AI is changing Agile Roles, Teams, and Practices.
"The Convergence" is a future facing interactive discussion about the profound impact of AI on Agile Product Delivery. Ushering in an era where AI Transformations become the focal point, surpassing the current realms of Agile and Digital Transformation strategic approaches.
The session explores the evolution of key team roles, showcasing how currently compartmentalised roles are converging into new hybrid forms. We will focus on specific roles, including Engineers, Product Managers, UX Designers, and Delivery Managers, providing practical examples and case studies to illustrate these AI driven changes.
We will discuss how “The Convergence” of roles is changing our approach to shaping team capabilities, how it will increase in speed with which teams will need to form / reform, and how this will significantly alter the daily activity of people in these fluid AI augmented micro teams.
During the session we will touch on the wide range of AI approaches that are currently available and how you might make sense of the appropriate options in this rapidly evolving landscape. This is not a ‘one-size fits all approach’, however indecision is increasing the risk of non-AI augmented teams and organisation being left behind.
The Product Confidence Trap
Are you struggling to move forward with your product development process because you're unsure if you have enough insight or have explored all the customer needs? Are you stuck in the 'Product Confidence Trap'? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then this session is for you.
Design Thinking and Product Discovery practices help us to learn more about business strategy, customer opportunities, potential solutions, and how to deliver customer value. This is a non-linear flow that helps us to increase confidence in our chosen direction of travel.
The ‘Product Confidence Trap’ is a mental loop in which we can get stuck while we are looking to confirm that we have increased confidence enough to move forwards. This occurs often when we are unsure that we have enough insight. It can be hard to assess if and when we can move on based on the level of risk we are willing to take. This interactive session will help you understand and break out of the trap to successfully continue with your product delivery roadmap.
Through the session, we will take you through the different phases of Product Discovery, including strategy, opportunity, solution, and delivery. We'll discuss how you can increase your confidence during these phases and make weighted decisions to move forward. We'll provide you with a framework that you can use to assess your product context, grow confidence in the insight you have developed, and decide on your next best option to deliver customer value.
> Strategy - How might we assess we have shaped the vision enough?
> Opportunity - How might we decide we have explored the customer's needs correctly?
> Solution - How might we know we have designed the appropriate solutions?
> Delivery - How might we be confident we have decided on the correct way to deliver?
But that's not all. This session is not just about sitting and listening to a speaker; it's interactive. We'll be using Google Slides and Slido to engage with the audience and create a collaborative experience. Our Slido polls will allow us to gather real-time feedback and opinions from the audience, and provide the opportunity to learn from each others' experiences and insights.
We'll also be using practical real-life examples of how to break out of the 'Product Confidence Trap.' You'll get to hear about organisations that faced these issues and how they could have avoided it or broken out of it.
By the end of this session, you'll have new tools that will enable you to break out of the 'Product Confidence Trap' and confidently move forward with your product development process. You'll leave with a better understanding of how to assess your product context, grow confidence in the insight you have developed, and decide on your next best option to deliver customer value.
Agile Team Performance Evolution with AI Agents
We are always striving to achieve greater impact with our teams.
Self-organising teams are at the heart of the success of Agile approaches - however we often fail to fully empower and support the growth of teams as they adopt, adapt, and accelerate their agile team delivery practices.
Agile metrics and measures can get a lot of attention as teams evolve. Some of this attention is progressive (e.g. Team health, psychological safety, value delivery etc.) and some this attention is controlling / negative (e.g. Micro management, individual review etc).
The introduction of AI agents into the Agile Delivery space has added a new dimension to the approach we take to evolve our performance. AI agents can now support a range of capacity increasing activities (e.g. automation of data analysis) and at the same time also enhance capability (e.g. real time personalised coaching) so that we can further evolve our team performance.
Team performance measures should be created by the team, for the use of the team, and not as a management lever. Teams need to be empowered to shape what they need in context to their current evolutionary status.
During this session we look at five main areas of focus through which team performance can evolve and accelerate towards the delivery of real business impact :-
> Team Traits - Connect with the subjective measures that bind teams together
> Team Measures - Decide on the objective measures to track team performance
> Business Agility Measures - Guide the operational changes required to create the right environment
> Business Impact - Deliver the desired outcomes from the team performance.
> AI Agents Interaction - Set the balance of human led and AI enabled activities
