After years inside various core development teams, I was chosen to direct the project to approach Agile practices within CINECA.
Goal achieved:
- Strong coordination and participation in the rewriting of a new SDLC (systems development life cycle);
- Training of all persons directly or indirectly affected by the new process;
- Coordination and management of the activities of the "Evangelist" group;
- Start-up, dissemination and management of new tools to support collaboration and processes;
- Coordination of a path of continuous improvement in a Lean perspective;

Dopo anni di esperienza all'interno di vari team core di sviluppo del consorzio sono stato scelto per dirigere il progetto di avvicinamento alle pratiche Agile all'interno del CINECA.
Obbiettivi raggiunti:
- Coordinamento e partecipazione in maniera incisiva alla riscrittura di un nuovo SDLC (systems development life cycle);
- Formazione di tutte le figure direttamente o indirettamente toccate dal nuovo processo;
- Coordinamento e gestione delle attività del gruppo "Evangelist";
- Avviamento, diffusione e gestione di nuovi strumenti a supporto della collaborazione e dei processi;
- Coordinamento di un percorso di continuo miglioramento in ottica Lean;

How to navigate an agile canoe in a river of waterfalls en it
The session has the goal of presenting the experience of trying to launch a process of "cultural change" towards modern Agile technologies inside the CINECA consortium. The biggest challenge was to find a sustainable solution for an Enterprise that works in a public ecosystem.
The focal point of the process of agile transformation was the introduction of an internal figure named "Evangelist". This role, which is nothing but an adaptation of the Centers of Excellence (COES), was found to be fundamental for a sustainable propagation of agile practices, minimizing the possibility of rejection.
The structure of the presentation is based on 3 main points:
1) Presentation of the CINECA situation and the path towards agile practices
2) Definition and motivation of the creation of the Evangelist figure
3) Presentation of the concrete experience of more than a year of activity, with the successes achieved, difficulties encountered and lessons learned.

La sessione si pone l'obiettivo di presentare l'esperienza reale vissuta all'interno del consorzio CINECA, nel cercare di avviare un processo di "cambiamento culturale", avvicinandosi alle moderne metodologie Agile. La sfida maggiore era data dal riuscire ad identificare una soluzione che risultasse sostenibile per una realtà Enterprise in un ecosistema pubblico.
Punto fondamentale e focale del processo di trasformazione agile è stata l'introduzione di una figura interna denominata "Evangelist". Questa figura, che altro non è che un'adattamento dei Centers of Excellence (COES), è risultata fondamentale per diffondere in maniera sostenibile le pratiche, diminuendone la possibilità di "rigetto".
La struttura della presentazione si articola su 3 macro punti:
1) Presentazione della realtà CINECA e del percorso di traghettamento verso pratiche agili.
2) Definizione e motivazione della creazione della figura dell'Evangelist.
3) Esposizione dell'esperienza realmente vissuta di oltre un anno di attività con successi ottenuti, difficoltà riscontrate e lesson learned.
