Quantum Computing with Q# and Azure

Harnessing the unique behavior of quantum physics and applying it to computing, quantum computers introduce new concepts to traditional programming methods such as superposition, entanglement, and interference.

While being a dream a couple of years ago, developers are now able to code and run quantum programs on different types of quantum hardware.

Join us in this demo-packed session to discover the capabilities of Q#, the newest member of the .NET languages family and Azure Quantum.

Diving into Quantum Software Architecture in Azure

The age of quantum computers is at our doorstep. Thousands of eager developers are already taking advantage of the free access to quantum platforms — Microsoft Azure being one of them.

Thus, there is a natural call for architecture to start looking into the roadmap for integrating this new technology into the existing IT landscape.

Join this hands-on workshop to explore the current state of proposed architecture solutions for building, deploying, and monitoring quantum software in Azure.

Topics include:
- Introduction to quantum computing with Microsoft Azure and Q#
- Implementation of tightly coupled quantum components
- Implementation of loosely coupled quantum components
- Implementation of Infrastructure as Code provisioning
- Implementation of CI/CD pipelines

Note: Workshop will include hands-on labs. Please, bring your own fully charged laptop. You will also need to have an active Pay-As-You-Go Azure subscription. Required software will be installed during the workshop.

HTTP/3 with .NET 6 and Kestrel

HTTP/3 is the third and upcoming major version of HTTP.

HTTP/3 uses the same semantics as HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2 but instead of using TCP as the transport layer for the session, it uses QUIC, a new Internet transport protocol.

HTTP/3 and QUIC have a number of benefits including native multiplexing, 0-RTT support, and increased security.

In this session, we will learn how to enable HTTP/3 in a .NET 6 application which is served by Kestrel.

Minimal APIs in .NET 6

The ASP.NET team has rolled out minimal APIs, a new, simple way to build small microservices and HTTP APIs in ASP.NET Core.

Minimal APIs hook into ASP.NET Core’s hosting and routing capabilities and allow you to build fully functioning APIs with just a few lines of code. No startup.cs, no controllers, Just 4 lines of code to write an API endpoint. It is amazing! Isn’t it?

In this session, we will explore minimal APIs and how to integrate with other powerful features like CORS configuration, Entity Framework, Swagger, and JWT Authentication/Authorization.

Diving into Quantum Computing with Q# and Azure Quantum

Harnessing the unique behaviour of quantum physics and applying it to computing, quantum computers introduce new concepts to traditional programming methods such as superposition, entanglement, and quantum interference.

Microsoft, having a clear mindset towards the coming quantum era, is partnering with quantum hardware companies to provide developers with cloud access to quantum hardware.

Leveraging the Azure Quantum platform and the Q# language, developers are now able to explore quantum algorithms and run their quantum programs on different types of quantum hardware.

In this full-day workshop, we will:
- Learn about the features that make quantum supremacy feasible,
- Learn the basics of Microsoft's Q# programming language
- Create multiple quantum applications, some based on famous algorithms
- Run these applications on real quantum hardware using Azure Quantum.

The new Azure SDK for .NET

Learn about the new Azure SDK for .NET and the improvements to performance, authentication and configuration that Microsoft's engineers have been working on in the last couple of years.
Besides theoretical concepts, we will write some code to explore the new and extensible HTTP Pipeline that all Azure clients internally use, implement authentication with the new Azure.Identity library and connect our app to an Azure Storage account.

What exactly is Deep Learning?

In this session we will discuss:
- What is the difference between Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning
- What problems can Deep Learning solve
- What tools and frameworks are available

Doing AI the Cloud Way: Enterprise Azure Machine Learning

AI spent over half a century being more hype than happening. So, why now? Many people don’t realize that the story of today’s applied AI is actually a story about The Cloud.
Join this session to understand the advantages of building an AI solution on the cloud and take a deep dive into the brand new Enterprise Azure Machine Learning and designer (preview).

Reverse proxying with .NET and YARP

Reverse proxies can help simplify and secure how clients access your backend services. YARP is an open-source project to create a highly customizable reverse proxy built on the .NET platform. It provides a set of core proxy features and lots of extensibility options.

Join me in this demo-packed session to learn:
- Why and when you should choose YARP.
- How to add YARP to your project and configure it for common tasks like load balancing, A/B testing and authentication.
- New features added in .NET 7 like support for zero byte reads, multi-value header matching, HTTP/3, multiple configuration sources, and more!

Practical Logging & Monitoring with .NET

.NET makes writing log entries a breeze within your applications, however, that is where the out-of-the-box simplicity ends. You have decorated your code with all of these pretty log messages that are designed to make your life easier, but then what? Have you actually reviewed them? Something bad happened, did it tell you? What about confidential information, have you limited that from being logged?

This demo-packed session is designed to help take your logging from *implemented* to *usable*. Logging is great, but there are many questions to be answered, including where you store the logs, how you get notifications etc. We explore these concepts with detailed examples.

By the end of this session you will have learned:
- Where to log entries to and flexible configurations
- Monitoring and escalation of log entries
- Integration with logging & external assemblies
- Configuration & build systems with logging
