Unifying Kubernetes: Live Multi-Cloud Migration to GKE with Istio

Moving Kubernetes workloads between clouds usually means downtime and risky cutovers. This session uses Istio multi-cluster networking to span clusters on different clouds and GKE in one service mesh. It then migrates a live application to GKE step by step, shifting traffic with no downtime. You'll leave with a practical pattern for gradual, observable and reversible cloud migrations.

Delivered at Google Cloud Community Days Chennai 2025 and Mangalore 2025.

Build with AI: Gemini Workshop

A hands-on workshop on building generative AI apps with Gemini. Participants call Gemini from Python, build a simple interactive UI with Gradio, and deploy the app on Google Kubernetes Engine. It is aimed at students and developers taking their first steps with GenAI on Google Cloud.

Delivered at Build with AI, GDG On Campus NIST, March 2025.
Workshop, about 250 attendees.

From Code to Cloud: A Beginner’s Guide to DevOps

A beginner-friendly tour of the modern DevOps toolchain. It starts with version control in Git and GitHub, then covers containerising apps with Docker, building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, provisioning infrastructure with Terraform, and deploying to Kubernetes on Google Cloud. Attendees see how each piece fits together, from a commit to running code in the cloud.

Delivered online at GDG On Campus MREM, September 2025, with about 1,700 views.

Reducing Kubernetes YAML Sprawl with kro

As platforms grow, teams drown in copied Helm charts, Kustomize overlays and YAML. This talk introduces kro (Kube Resource Orchestrator), which groups related Kubernetes resources into reusable, higher-level APIs. A live comparison with Helm and Kustomize shows how kro cuts duplication and gives developers simpler building blocks.

Service Mesh Patterns for Multi-Cluster Kubernetes Environments

Running Kubernetes across several clusters brings hard questions about service discovery, traffic routing, failover and security. This workshop covers the main Istio multi-cluster patterns: primary-remote, multi-primary, and single vs. multiple networks. Participants build and test them hands-on, and learn when to use each one.

Workshop delivered at Open Source Weekend Ahmedabad 2026, April 2026.

Service Mesh 101 with Istio: Complete Hands-On Workshop

A beginner-to-practitioner workshop on service mesh using Istio on a local Kind cluster. Topics include installing Istio, sidecar injection, traffic management (routing, canary releases, fault injection), mTLS security, and observability. Every concept comes with a lab, so attendees leave with a working mesh and a repo to keep practising.

Online workshop with Kubesimplify, August 2026, about 1,700 views.

AI Agents Burning Your Budget? Time to Hire a Manager

AI agents on Kubernetes can quietly run up large LLM bills. This talk shows how to add cost observability to agents built with kagent, routing calls through an LLM gateway instrumented with OpenTelemetry and Langfuse. Token usage, latency and spend are shown in Prometheus and Grafana, so you can see exactly what each agent costs and act on it.

Delivered at Cloud Native Summit Kerala 2026, August 2026, to about 600 attendees.

The Modern Software Delivery

How software gets from a developer’s laptop to production today. The session traces the delivery lifecycle: the move from VMs to containers and Kubernetes, automated CI/CD pipelines, and deploying on Google Cloud. It shows how DevOps practices shorten release cycles and make deployments reliable.

Delivered at AppForge, Mozilla Firefox Club, VIT Vellore, September 2026.

The Open Source Jarvis: Build Your Own Private Assistant

Build a fully private, voice-driven AI assistant using only open-source models running on your own hardware. The stack serves Gemma with vLLM, uses Whisper for speech-to-text, adds voice activity detection and text-to-speech, and wires it together with FastAPI and Docker. No data leaves your machine.

Workshop delivered at Open Source India 2026, October 2026.
