Modern software systems increasingly incorporate artificial intelligence and hyper-automation, which can amplify both innovation and risk. The Quality Tree Framework is a pragmatic model that maps essential quality domains – including functionality, performance, security, usability, maintainability, ethics and trust – into a structured tree and provides a roadmap for continuous improvement. In this session, I will explain how I co-developed the framework and used it to guide organisations in building responsible AI and resilient software systems. I will share lessons learned from implementing AI-powered scenario generation, self-healing automation and governance at bank and industrial clients. Attendees will learn how to adapt the Quality Tree to their own projects, integrate it into CI/CD pipelines, align it with DevOps and SRE practices, and ensure that AI-driven solutions meet regulatory and ethical requirements.
