AI Doesn’t Care. And That’s Why We Must.

AI is fast, accurate, and relentless — but it has no values, no intent, and no understanding of meaning. This keynote challenges organisations to stop fearing AI and start owning it, identifying how small, human-led changes create outsized impact when technology is used deliberately rather than blindly.

Adoption is key and like many industrial Revolutions how your you approach this will determine the value your organisation recieved from the change.

This is a 30-45 minute Keynote, looking at the way IT needs to work with the business to make AI a success. It is NOT technical and designed to help people select the topics available in the day ahead

Govern the Agent by Its Most Powerful Skill

Every new skill deserves its own governance question.

As Microsoft 365 Copilot agents gain new skills, they also introduce new governance challenges. This session presents the Agent Governance Chain, a simple framework where each new skill adds just one new governance question.

Using a practical customer support agent, you'll learn where to apply the right controls as capabilities grow. You'll leave with a practical governance framework, a seven-stage capability model, and a repeatable approach that scales from simple personal agents to enterprise business-critical solutions.

This is a Session, identifying what and where the controls are for governing different aspects of an agents capability

Building an AI Playbook: The Essential Policies

Successful AI governance does not begin with technology—it begins with policies agreed with the business. Those policies define how AI should be used, where the boundaries lie and how governance can protect the organisation without preventing innovation.

Defining Frontier AI as the baseline for building an organisation-wide AI strategy and driving Adoption. This session explores the essential policies every organisation should have in its AI playbook. You will leave with a practical policy framework that you can take back to your organisation to start the right conversations, establish effective governance and prepare the business to adopt AI at scale.

This session is a purposely created none technical session to balance out the any technical sessions that are driven to the business by the policies they understand. Any AI solution needs adoption against a set of Approved company policies.

Govern the Agent by Its Most Powerful Skill: A Practical Governance Workshop

As Microsoft 365 Copilot agents gain new skills, they also introduce new governance challenges. This full-day workshop turns the Agent Governance Chain into a practical implementation exercise, showing how governance is configured across the Microsoft administration landscape.

Using a complex customer support agent that progresses through all seven stages of the chain, participants will examine how instructions, knowledge, identity, tools, external services, actions and automation change the agent’s risk profile. Each stage introduces a new governance question and a corresponding set of controls that must be implemented.

The workshop will demonstrate where those controls are configured across Microsoft Copilot Studio, the Microsoft 365 admin centre, the Power Platform admin centre, Microsoft Entra, SharePoint and Microsoft Purview. Participants will follow the agent from its initial configuration through to a business-critical solution that can access organisational data, connect to business systems, perform actions and operate automatically.

Throughout the day, participants will learn how to identify the relevant administration areas, assign ownership, apply proportionate controls and establish monitoring for each stage of the Governance Chain. The focus is not simply on reviewing settings, but on understanding why each control is required and how it responds to the capabilities the agent has been given.

This is available as a Session with no demonstrations to indentify the areas of important for AI governance
