How to successfully land AI in your organization
Ready for the ultimate guide for your customer’s AI-journey, the Top Gun style? This is no typical technical session just explaining AI and Copilot Studio (oké, oké, just a very little bit). This is a session full of inspiration how to embed AI, Copilot and agents in the business processes of companies.
How to land AI in your organization is a session for anyone who helps customers navigate the overwhelming, exciting and sometimes chaotic world of artificial intelligence. Today, almost every organization says the same thing: “We need to do something with AI”. But very few know where to begin.
In this session, Rob shows how you can guide your own customers from that vague ambition to a clear, structured and inspiring AI journey that leads to real business impact.
You’ll discover how to reveal the true “AI hunger” inside an organization: the ambition, the pain points, the opportunities they can’t yet see, and the processes that are begging for innovation.
Rob shares the practical methods he uses daily to help customers move from curiosity to clarity, using inspiration, storytelling and real-world examples that spark imagination and open doors. Instead of drowning customers in technology, you’ll learn how to help them dream first, because if they can’t dream it, they’ll never build it.
Once the inspiration hits, the next step is turning ideas into real scenarios that land inside business processes. Rob shows how to translate bottlenecks, frustrations and inefficiencies into concrete AI opportunities using a simple, powerful flow: inspire, ideate, ignite.
You’ll see how this works in practice through the story of the hoody side hustle of Rob, a fictitious-but-recognizable company that grew from three employees and six agents to a thriving AI-first operation with fifteen autonomous agents supporting sales, procurement, fulfilment, customer service and more. These agents aren’t theoretical, they’re real-life examples of what you can help your customers build: Product Advisor Agent, Buyer Assistant, Deal Agent and many more.
The session also explains how to help customers move from basic Copilot experiences to truly autonomous agents. You’ll learn how to explain the difference between generative AI, Copilot and agentic AI in a way that makes sense to business leaders. More importantly, you’ll learn how to guide them as they onboard AI into real processes using Copilot Studio, defining roles, triggers, tools, knowledge sources and channels. You’ll walk away knowing exactly how to help your customers not only understand autonomous agents, but also build and adopt them with confidence.
By the end of this session, you won’t just understand how to land AI in an organization, you’ll know how to inspire your customers, how to guide them, and how to help them onboard AI directly into their operations. You’ll be equipped with the story, the structure and the practical tools to take your customers from “we need to do something with AI” to “we know exactly where to start, and we know how to scale.”
What do agents REALLY cost? Agent examples, licenses and credit costs
Microsoft Copilot Studio enables organizations to build AI agents that go far beyond chatbots: agents that answer questions using enterprise data, execute business processes, and even operate autonomously across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and the Power Platform.
Yet as soon as teams move from experimentation to production, one topic consistently slows adoption down: licensing and cost predictability.
Questions like “Do we need Microsoft 365 Copilot for this?”, “When do Copilot Studio credits apply?”, and “What will this agent actually cost per month?” often remain unanswered until after the first invoice arrives.
This session brings clarity by shifting the conversation away from abstract SKUs and towards concrete, real world Copilot Studio agents, and their measurable credit impact.
Rather than starting with licensing tables, we start with recognizable business scenarios and work backwards. For each agent, we explore what it does, who uses it, where it runs, and how that translates into Copilot Credit consumption and supporting licenses.
Rob will show practical agent examples, for example:
- Product Advisor Agent
- Buyer Assistant Agent
- Retailer Advisor Agent
- Customer Feedback Agent
Wondering how Rob explains these agents? Take a look at the recording of the Microsoft AI Tour: https://youtu.be/ZZaY9SK_AwY?si=Sd-hHSBSZ3DOeypA
For each example, attendees will see:
- the functional behavior of the agent
- the relevant licensing context (Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Copilot Studio)
- the expected Copilot Credit consumption
By mapping agent behavior directly to credits, generative answers, data grounding, and actions, the session demonstrates how to estimate costs using realistic order‑of‑magnitude thinking, rather than chasing perfect numbers.
The talk also highlights common mistakes seen in the field, such as assuming Microsoft 365 Copilot covers all agents.
The goal is not to turn attendees into licensing specialists, but to give them a clear mental model that enables better decisions during design, architecture, and rollout.
Attendees will leave with the ability to confidently answer:
“Given what this agent does and who uses it, this is the licensing setup and this is the realistic cost.”
No SKU bingo. No surprises. Just practical clarity for building Copilot Studio agents that scale.
The 10 AI decisions companies must make now
AI is no longer a “nice demo” sitting next to the business. It is moving into the core of business processes, and that’s exactly why so many organizations get stuck. The bottleneck is rarely the technology. It’s the lack of explicit strategic decisions: Do we embed AI inside our processes or keep it as a separate assistant? Do we use AI to support people (Copilot) or let it execute steps autonomously (agents)? Do we centralize AI creation or empower teams with Copilot Studio while staying in control? And are we honest about the one foundation AI cannot live without: reliable, governed data?
In this session, you’ll get a clear, practical framework: 10 strategic AI decisions that determine whether AI becomes a collection of disconnected experiments, or a scalable capability that reshapes your operating model. Each decision is explained through a real-world lens: what it changes in process design, roles & responsibilities, governance/compliance, and Microsoft architecture (Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and the Power Platform).
You’ll leave with an actionable “decision compass” you can use immediately with leadership teams and architecture boards, covering topics like cost reduction vs value creation, standardization vs managing variation with AI, central vs federated governance, and why “AI without data is gambling.”
Key takeaways
- A clear map of the 10 decisions and what each one means in practice
- How to position Copilots vs autonomous agents
- Why data quality and ownership are board-level topics: “AI without data is gambling”
- A governance approach that prevents AI “wild growth” without killing innovation
Audience: Business leaders, IT/architects, product owners, process owners, and anyone building or scaling AI in a Microsoft ecosystem.
When I speak at community conferences, I sometimes miss the business track / sessions. And I think it's very important to get our clients ('the business') to these kind of conferences. Therefore, I created this 100% business session. And, of course consultants are welcome too. So they can use this knowledge in challenging their customers.
Build a life you want to remember
What if everything you do today eventually becomes part of a museum? A museum that tells the story of your life, exactly as you lived it.
In this inspiring and personal session, the speaker takes you along in a story about choices, perseverance, and meaning. About surrounding yourself with the right people. About daring to lean on others. About believing in something. About staying close to who you really are.
From climbing Alpe d’Huez ten times in a row to organizing his own impactful events, one question runs through the entire story. Are you living the life you truly want to live, or the life that is expected of you?
The speaker shows how his Big Five for Life, his personal life compass, helped him make choices that truly fit who he is. Through relatable stories, vulnerability, and concrete insights, he inspires you to reflect on what really matters to you.
This is not a passive listening experience. You leave with the first version of your own Big Five for Life, and with a fresh perspective on how you shape your life.
What makes this session unique:
This session is not a theoretical talk or a list of tips. It is an experience. A life story. Participants are guided through a powerful visualization of their own life as a museum. They hear honest stories about pushing boundaries, doubt, and perseverance. They gain insights into the importance of having the right people around them. There is a concrete moment in which participants begin to formulate their own Big Five for Life. And the impact of this keynote extends far beyond the moment itself.
What does it bring you:
After this session, you will reflect on what truly matters to you. You will look differently at the choices you make every day.
You will better understand how to bring more direction and energy into your life. And you will have the first version of your personal Big Five for Life on paper.
Who is this session for:
For professionals, leaders, and organizations who are looking for more meaning and direction. For those who want to inspire people to make conscious choices. And for those who believe that energy and impact come from authenticity.
Why this session stays with you:
Because it is not just a story you hear, but an experience you feel. And because it confronts you with a simple, yet powerful question: What will be hanging on your wall?
The speaker is a pre-sales consultant within the Microsoft ecosystem, an adventurous cyclist, and a passionate speaker who inspires people to make conscious choices in both work and life.
His story begins in 2012, when, against all expectations, he takes part in Alpe d’HuZes (charity ride in France). What starts as a personal challenge grows into a life-changing journey, ending in climbing the legendary Alpe d’Huez ten times in a single day.
Driven by the belief that people are capable of far more than they realize, he launches his own initiative to create meaningful experiences and make an impact for others.
Inspired by The Big Five for Life, he develops his own interpretation of this concept. Not as a bucket list, but as a sustainable compass that helps guide choices that bring energy and direction.
In his session , he combines personal stories, vulnerability, and powerful insights with a unique interactive experience. He does not just invite people to think, but to truly pause and reflect on what really matters to them.
His mission is clear: To help people create a life they can look back on with pride.

Microsoft AI Tour
Some days you will remember….this is one of those days…. The Microsoft AI Tour has come to an end. So much beautiful things happened….telling the AI story with Charon Konings to a fully packed room, laughing in de Microsoft podcast with Marieke van der Werf, making selfies with Geert Menting and feeling like a rockstar thanks to Noah Janssen.
When you are invited to talk about autonomous agents at one of Microsoft’s flagship events, there is only one possible answer. After weeks of preparation, I stood on stage with Charon Konings at Inspiration Hub 3, where about 330 people were sitting in the audience with headphones. The more than 50 people who were still queuing outside were out of luck.
Our story was successful because we were able to make autonomous agents concrete. We brought them to life and transcended the conceptual phase in which this innovation often gets stuck.
With the agents we showed, we unlock human potential to the fullest.
