What have we learned from the first 10 years of Kubernetes

The first ever commit to the Kubernetes project happened on June 6th, 2014. These days, Kubernetes is behind many of the biggest and most important services in the world, has close to 90,000 contributors, and has changed the way we build and host applications.

It was the first killer app in the cloud native movement, but what have we learned from the success of Kubernetes? Is the statement "Kubernetes is complex" still a thing, and where will the project be in the next 5 to 10 years?
