Foundations of the MetaVerse: Spatial Anchors and World Locking

Mixed Reality and also Augmented Reality applications need a concept of representing fixed locations in the real world to be able to enhance the environment with.
The MetaVerse requires such an "anchoring" in the real world.
For this, concepts like Spatial Anchors were introduced first with Microsoft HoloLens but are now available for different device families.
World Locking is a way to then reliably bind the coordinate systems of the real world and the physical world to allow application developers to develop spatial applications more easily.
This fast focus session will cover Spatial Anchors, World Locking Tools for Unity, and talk about how Spatial Anchors can be translated between device families with Azure Spatial Anchor Services.
