Rethinking Legacy Systems: Event Processing with Project Drasi

Project Drasi is a brand-new open-source project from Microsoft that revisits the concept of Complex Event Processing. At its core, it focuses on detecting data changes in software systems and responding to them accordingly. In newly developed systems, this would typically be implemented using Event Sourcing or technical solutions built from scratch. But what about legacy systems? How can we capture emerging changes in these systems—and more importantly, why should we react to them?

In this talk, I aim to show how Drasi can help embed or transform a monolithic legacy system into a microservices-based system.
