A speaker for two talks at KubeCon NA'21 and at the maintainer’s track talk at KubeCon EU’22, Mritunjay is a two-time Google Summer of Code scholar too where he contributed to CNCF's Buildpacks in 2021 while he played a pivotal role in shaping the CI of RTEMS with EPICS during his GSoC stint in 2020. In the Springs of 2021, he was an LFX Mentee for CNCF-Kubernetes where he contributed to building a kube-bench policy-report CRD adapter. Ariel Shuper specializes in cloud native security solutions for containerized micro services. In his daily job Ariel leads Cisco's cloud native security platform which is using Istio as its core technology. Ariel joined Cisco following the acquisition of Portshift, where he managed the platform roadmap plans and worked closely with its customers and the Istio community to address security aspects of containers’ and Istio deployments in multiple environments (Kubernetes, RedHat, Rancher, External CA usage etc.).
Prior to Portshift, Ariel worked on serverless functions security as an entrepreneur and then at Aqua Security as a GM of its server-less unit. Ariel is also involved with other cloud native security technologies such as container’ sandboxing. Prior to that Ariel spent 5 years in various roles at Check-Point Technologies, focusing on security posture and network security in public clouds.
