Katie Isselmann DiSantis, PhD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Public Health in Thomas Jefferson University’s College of Population Health. She is the lead instructor for MPH level courses in Research Methods and Capstone, and also teaches a course on health behavior theories. Dr. DiSantis has managed numerous community-based research projects that have identified key influences of childhood obesity status and family food purchases and is a recognized expert in equitable access to healthy food. She has employed quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods in her research. She has published over 25 articles in peer-reviewed public health, medical, and nutrition journals. She is an Associate Director of the Institute for Smart and Healthy Cities, representing the College of Population Health in this interdisciplinary research group.
