Susan Raymond has been involved in the development and delivery, both online and in-person, of educational and skills training programs since 2003 (Equine Guelph). The focus of these programs is to improve the welfare and safety of both animals and people on the farm during day-to-day activities and emergency situations. Susan’s PhD research involved investigating the effects of exposure of horses to mycotoxins, as well as examining stable design and management as they affect air quality. Judah De Paula received his PhD in computer sciences from University of Texas at Austin where he focused on cognitive science (psychology) and computational neuroscience (biology) and published a neural network model of a trichromatic (human) primary visual cortex (artificial intelligence). For two years he wrote fluid dynamics code at Enthought and was involved in the Python open-source community. Judah moved to Iowa, started a family, lost his first wife to cancer, and has worked for fifteen years at Corteva Agriscience in a variety of roles, including management.
