In the category of "ICT for Social Impact: Bridging the Digital Divide," TMC was recognized for effectively leveraging technology to connect communities, close the digital gap, enhance access to digital resources, and empower underserved populations. Furthermore, in the category of "ICT Security: Best Practices in Data Protection," TMC was celebrated for its best-in-class data protection strategies that ensure privacy, security, and trust in digital ecosystems.

In addition to these accomplishments, TMC stands out as the only organization in Tanzania with a dedicated program aimed at capacitating non-profits with technological adaptation and digital transformation. Currently, TMC is working to equip 400 NGOs with expertise in Data Governance by 2025 and 2026, ensuring they are prepared to navigate the evolving digital landscape and make data-driven decisions.

TMC is an active member of several influential global and regional networks, including the ITU’s Partner2Connect Digital Coalition (P2C), National Democratic Institute’s Global Info/tegrity Network, World Press Freedom Day Tanzania Committee, Tanzania AI Community, Net Rights Coalition, #KeepItOn Coalition, and the Internet Governance Tanzania Working Group. These memberships reflect TMC’s ongoing commitment to shaping the future of digital rights, security, and governance at both local and international levels.

TMC is also recognized as a committee member for the Africa IGF 2025 in Tanzania, reflecting its leadership role in Internet Governance across the African continent. Coralia Vázquez-Otero is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health at the College of Health, Community and Policy at UT San Antonio. She is interested in 1) the prevention of HPV-related cancers, and 2) the use of evidence-based and population-based interventions (policy, screening) to prevent and improve cancer-related outcomes and eliminate health inequities. At UT San Antonio, she teaches the undergraduate and graduate courses on Health Policy.
Dr. Vázquez-Otero completed a Cancer Prevention Fellowship at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and her Ph.D. at the University of South Florida College of Public Health. She is originally from Puerto Rico where she studied law at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
