Shiun is a Cloud Engineer at SHOPLINE, a leading SaaS e-commerce platform in Asia. His work focuses on Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and networking.

Most of his time is spent dealing with real production issues, especially around scaling and performance. Recently, he has been working on improving pod startup latency by digging into scheduling, node provisioning, and networking bottlenecks. He enjoys going deep into how things actually work, from Kubernetes internals down to eBPF.

Outside of work, Shiun is active in the cloud native community in Taiwan. He has written a series of in-depth articles on Cilium and eBPF, and is currently working on a book about Cilium. He also spoke at a large Kubernetes conference, where he shared his experience building an eBPF-based CNI plugin from scratch to better understand how Cilium processes packets.
