AWS DMV and CLE User Group

The AWS DMV and Cleveland User Groups are soliciting speakers for our monthly events. We have a unique situation in that Cleveland is virtual and DMV is done IN PERSON at the AWS HQ2 offices. Past speakers have told us that they love being able to do the Cleveland talk first to get some feedback before doing their talk in person in DC. That is why we have combined this CFP.

AWS User Groups are a place for AWS practitioners to increase their skills and network with their peers. Groups are run by volunteers and do not generate a profit.

These User Groups are a great venue for new speakers as the community is interested in great content, not professional speakers. If you've done an interesting project on AWS or have an area of speciality, please submit your talk.

PLEASE NOTE that you will need to get yourself to HQ2 for the in-person talk and that a lot of planning and sometimes money has gone into these events. If you commit to a date, we need you to show up and be prepared.

The DMV User Group meets the 2nd Thursday of the month. The CLE User Group generally meets the 1st Thursday of the month, but has more flexibility since it's virtual. Dates are not available in months with industry conflicts (Jan = re:Invent re:Cap, June = AWS Summits & Midwest Community Day, Oct = DMV Community Day, Nov-Dec = re:Invent)

DEMOKRATIE in EUROPA

DEMOKRATIE in EUROPA

FOCUS 2: Das Fundament: Was uns Demokratie in Europa eigentlich ermöglicht 🕊️

FOCUS 3: Der EU-Reality Check: Medien, Bildung & Durchblick 🧠

FOCUS 6: Miteinander made in Europe: Plattformen, Allianzen und Impact 🌐

Archifridays 2026

ArchiFridays: Architecting the Future of Data & AI - Together
In a fast-paced digital world driven by the rise of Generative AI, Autonomous Agents, and Intelligent Data Platforms, stepping back to architect, structure, and secure our systems is more important than ever.

ArchiFridays were created for exactly this reason: a weekly gathering for modern tech professionals who believe that architecture is the strategic engine of innovation. It is not just about diagrams; it’s about bringing clarity, governance, and vision to cutting-edge technology implementations.

A modern format, designed by and for the community
ArchiFridays are weekly webinars held every Friday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM (Paris time / UTC+2).
The format is intentionally open to everyone: seasoned architects, data engineers, AI builders, and tech innovators. What matters is the willingness to share knowledge, experiences, and forward-looking perspectives.
Each session is led by community experts and dives deep into specific modern technical pillars:
  • Data & AI Architecture: Designing robust foundations using Microsoft Fabric, modern data lakes, and advanced analytics.
  • The Agentic Era: Building, orchestrating, and securing Autonomous AI Agents and intelligent Copilots.
  • Cloud, Security & Governance: Implementing enterprise-grade solutions, hybrid architectures, and data governance with Microsoft Purview.
  • Methodologies & Certifications: Preparing for strategic paths like TOGAF, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, DevOps pipelines, and AI certifications.
  • Real-world Case Studies: Lessons learned from deploying complex, production-ready AI and data platforms.

Inclusive, bilingual, and supportive
ArchiFridays is flexible: sessions are held in English or French, depending on the speaker’s preference, allowing for a broader reach and diverse community exchange.
For those stepping onto the stage for the first time, we offer personalized mentoring and coaching: content structuring, slide review, and technical rehearsals. We are committed to empowering emerging voices and fostering meaningful cross-generational exchanges within the tech ecosystem.

Our goal is to create a diverse and engaging programme that allows attendees to learn practical skills, hear from experienced practitioners, discover new ideas, connect with the technical writing community, and explore how technical communication is evolving.

Workshop: The workshop will be a practical, focused session designed to allow attendees to learn a specific skill, approach, workflow, or concept in greater depth.

Speakers are encouraged to make the session practical and engaging, using demonstrations, examples, exercises, or real-world scenarios where appropriate.

Duration: 30 minutes

Lightning Talks: The lightning talk session will consist of short, focused presentations from selected speakers.

Be nice to people. This includes the speaker, the host/moderator and of course all the other attendees. Respect other people’s right to their own space. Don’t get in peoples face.

Understand that you can not and may not be the judge of anyone else’s feelings. If you do something that offends someone, even when that is not the purpose, don’t argue. Just back down. You may or may not understand what was going on, but Stockholm SQL is not meant for you to test limits.

See, that wasn’t so hard, was it? If you feel anyone is not respecting this very simple Code of Conduct, contact one of the organisers (Magnus and Daniel) – we want to keep SQL Friday clean from abuse.
